I just got done paying for expensive water at this restaurant. I ordered a chili cheese dog and got an overcooked and overheated hot dog, the bun was soggy and just drenched in chili... there was what looked like a pound of cheese on this thing... disgusting. The potatoes salad was store bought. My son's chicken nuggets were moose in the middle and he wouldn't even eat the fries and he loves fries. The hostess was watching us the whole time which was super weird and then comes to the table to ask how we like our food when she can see clearly this whole time that some of us have not touched the plates anymore after the first bite... she doesn't offer to check with the chef, doesn't offer a discount for full plates being returned, just says, sorry it's not to your liking. Really?!?!? You watched us this entire time and you knew but still took our money for scrappy sub pat food and then wonder why you have no customers and why your business is failing. The reason I didn't become a Karen on you and refuse to the pay the bill for a meal me and my toddler son didn't even eat is because I know how bad your small business is struggling and I felt sorry for you. I have a mind to dispute this with my bank but consider this, my charity. DO NOT serve people that garbage you served me and my son tonight, it's disgusting and embarrassing. The tip I left of $9 and some change was also for the young man that got us our waters, he was the only thing we liked when we dined in...
Read more30 dollars for cheeseburger guessing 1/8 lbs and the burger was small but i requested light mayo and it was probably twice as much as the burger mixed with the lettuce. I i spent half my lunch time wiping all the mayo mixture scraping it off onto the plastic basket it came in. The chocolate milkshake was in a plastic cup to full and when the waitresses dropped it off it dripped everywhere and then she left will i got out my K9 instinct and licked up everywhere but decided against the table...just sayin. Last was the over cooked French fries in old truck motor oil. So i was starving and the meal didn't satisfy my hunger and even though the waitress was quick to wait on me and have me a to go box and cup for the milkshake i left all the extra crippy motor oil fries and the milkshake in my car and just went back to work still hungry and had to much time to think about this review it seems. Overall nice waitresses hella old but nice enough for like a granny inlaw or something but her waitresses days are long gone. Eddy burger wasn't worth the money and time for my appetite is of a man who can eat 30 dollars worth of food for lunch so next time be prepared for a hungry man instead of some rich people strolling...
Read moreUpdate, October 2024. The lady who took our order (a much older woman with glasses and a bad attitude) was very short, brought my drink but not my wife's, and mixed up our order. She was very rude overall, and just dropped our sandwiches on the table and walked away when they were served. When we went to pay the bill, my wife told me her to keep the change (bill was $37, we gave her $40, with the intent of leaving more cash on the table), but as she took the money to the register, she yelled back at my wife "You sure you don't want this back?" Needless to say, I chose NOT to leave anymore. Our meal was average quality food at best. While I used to love the Piper burger, we WON'T be returning. Don't waste your money. There's much better food and value, as well as wait staff with actual customer service skills at other places in Grants Pass.
Update: We returned today, as I was hungry for another Piper Special. Only to find a 'masks required' sign on your door. When you update your policies to common sense, instead of our governor's tyrannical and useless 'mandates', we will consider returning.
Excellent burger! Your Piper Drive-In tastes just like the Piper Special!...
