I just got a 3 piece meal and Tea. The chicken was so tuff I couldn’t eat it, the biscuit was cold and gravy had no flavor at all. I can deal with that maybe a bad day. But the ice tea was either being poured thru a tea container with a dirty nozzle or the tea had been keep over night in a cooler or whatever. This is what makes people so sick sometimes they think food poisoning is the issue but this time it’s gonna be the tea. The tannings in the tea stick to. Plastic, metal or whatever it can and forms a mold like rubbery substance and it gives tea a distinct flavor and will make you so sick. I worked in FoodService for 36 yrs and for a Tea company. So I’m not going to turn them in. I just hope they read this and change their process and clean the tea dispensers or quit holding it overnight. The health department will catch them if they don’t. Then they’ll have to change or go out of business because of people getting sick. It’s not hard for a doc to tell what the problem is because the tea will cause a bad odor in peoples breath. Read moreI’m disappointed. I’ve watched this location slowly go downhill over the last couple of years, and tonight was no different:
I pulled up tonight and realized that they had ripped out all of their car hop spots and now only do drive-thru. Okay, that’s kind of a bummer, but not the end of the world...
However, they got my order wrong. Twice. I had asked for all dark meat and got a mix. I called this to their attention and they repackaged it.., AGAIN with half white meat! Unfortunately it didn’t occur to me that they could make that mistake twice in a row, so I didn’t check it the second time until I got home.
Overall, the rolls were not at all fresh, the biscuits were slightly better, but not by much. Everything just tasted old and a little bit stale. I have fond memories of Chicken Express bring a consistently good option for fresh, crispy chicken, a good assortment of comfort food and generally consistent service, but that memory has started to fade in recent years.
Sadly, this location is not the only one and seems to be part of a larger pattern with...
Read moreExpect to pay around $7 for a individual combo, and about $20 - $25 for most family meals. Chicken is moist and has good flavor, portions are decent for the price but nothing I'd call generous. But the reason I give them the high marks is the customer service I just saw. A guy had gotten the wrong meal (maybe he ordered it incorrectly, but I'm not sure what happened). He had gone home, realized that he had the wrong meal and returned to purchase the correct meal. This guy was going to give away the previous meal to someone in the lobby, but the employees realized that there was a potential problem with the gentleman's meal and swung into action to make it right for him immediately. This is the second time that I've ever been to this location, so I can't say with certainty that you can usually expect this level of service but from what I saw it seemed that the employees definitely want their customers to leave happy. FYI though, the restroom needed a little TLC but wasn't terrible and the lobby was clean when I was here...
