I found the restaurant on Google and plugged it into my GPS as it was in between two business meetings. I didn't read anything about it, so I showed up unaware it was a country club. I'm from out of town and also probably shouldn't legally be allowed to swing a golf club so I'm definitely not a member. I googled real quick if I was able to eat at the restaurant since I didn't have a lot of time and didn't want to look for another place to eat and the almighty Google told me non-members were welcome, so I started my way to the door. And then paused briefly to wonderif they had a dress code. I was dressed nicely, but quite casually as both of my client meetings were in manufacturing facilities. I have probably the nicest dressy-esque steel toed work boots I've ever seen, but still all the sudden started to worry that I'd be turned away at the door. No one was by the entrance of the restaurant so I walked in and straight up to the bar with the confidence of a member/person who owned a pair of golf shoes and asked the woman there if I could sit anywhere. Half expecting her to tell me I could go seat myself back out in my car and drive away, I was pleasantly surprised when she told me I could sit anywhere I liked and that someone would be over to take my order momentarily. I found a seat on the outside patio over looking the golf course and broke out my laptop-after my server told me of course I could and that many people often do while they are there. My server was Alyssa--real sweet young woman who never made me feel out of place despite me wondering if all the regulars could tell I drive a Toyota. A 2010 Toyota. I requested the strawberry lime mocktail. And asked if it could be made less sweet . Alyssa thought about it and concerned it would take a way a large flavor component, she offered several suggestions as to how she could ask the bar tender to make it that would still keep the integrity of the drink. I then went on to ask her questions unrelated to her job about where I could find the best donuts and wine locally. She took the time to answer me and even asked another server who she thought might have a good answer too. The drink was delicious, the food was pretty good and the wait staff were great. Alyssa was wonderful. ...
Read moreCelebrated my 55th birthday. You add a card online to the profile and are billed days after your meal. I created my profile and added my pic when making reservations, so they recognized me when I arrived. They gave me this big excited greeting, which made me feel so special! I needed that. 😊We were able to get individual receipts of our orders for divvying up guests' meal prices. Guests were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated. Each place setting had more than ample space for the guests. The menu had a very nice variety of dishes, and some I could not have even dreamed up, and it was all cooked deliciously to perfection. The waitresses worked quickly between customers, continuously checking on our table, as needed. At the end of our meal, our cake was cut and served to us. We browsed in the golf shop and took a few pictures by the beautifully lit Christmas tree. It was an enjoyable gathering for this celebration. Thank you for a...
Read moreGenerally I don't leave below average reviews but the steak fritters were not very good, The lunch entre was served cold, the fries were greasy tasting and the meat was average at best. We waited a long time for our order, almost 40 minutes, and when we voiced our displeasure the kind server stated that it was surprising it was cold because they were under a heat lamp. My friends bbq entree and fries were served cold as well. I passed on the hot dogs at the turn saving my appetite for lunch, another bad choice on the course. Had to pick up lunch on the way home. Although it was a bad experience I will be back again soon, everyone can have a bad day once in a while. My son is flying in next month, he is looking forward to visiting the course...
