I stopped by to get some drinks for myself and my husband and a shake for my son after a particularly rough day. The app wasn't working for me to order ahead, so the drinks were not going to be half price. I have a gift card on my app, though, so I thought it would be no big deal since I could pay at the stall with the gift card instead.
However, after I ordered at the stall and tried to pay, there was an error. The carhop brought out our drinks, told me the total, and I explained the issue asking if there was a way to use my gift card that was loaded on the app. She wasn't sure and got the manager. The manager didn't really listen to what I said, and he said, "if you don't have another way to pay, then I'll have to take the drinks back." I just wanted to use my gift card. Paying was never an issue, but it felt really degrading to be treated like this when I was asking for help with the app. It took me off guard, but I gave him my credit card to pay for the order. He left, came back with my card and straws, and that was that. He didn't give me a receipt, and I was already having such a bad time that I didn't feel comfortable asking for one since he had already left.
As someone with a lot of experience in customer service and food service, who gives a lot of grace and empathy towards those working in this industry, I felt like this was one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. Secondly, I ordered a route 44 cup of ice paid for it and the ice is only halfway full in this cup. This place has been messing up my orders every single time. I’m very sorry my K-9 loves the hamburgers from here, but I’m gonna have to go somewhere else this time they push me over the edge. Read moreIf you order a large drink during happy hour, the total is $1.07. If you order a drink from the app (any time of day) a large drink is $1.18. Why are you up-charging for using the app? What this tells me is to use the app throughout the day, except happy hour (2-4p).
I also feel like they have let the facility slide ... it needs some TLC and updating ... parking lot needs a good power washing. And when an order board is out of order, it would be nice for those ordering, when they arrive to have a cone up to prevent people from pulling into that stall.
It just feels like the the owner doesn't care/isn't involved and he/she should be!
On another note, I will say that Mars and AJ are an asset (I don't know them outside of going to Sonic for years)!
