Very Poorly ran. Horrible communication. Lack of urgency for getting things done. I don’t know what type of person wouldn’t compensate in some way whether it be a partial refund or SOMETHING for what the program costs and the actual HELP you get & EXPERIENCE you have going through their program. I wouldn’t recommend this program at all. You receive texts late at night letting you know you will not have an in person instructor after telling you that you would have one the previous week (if you actually receive any heads up before wasting gas and showing up) students have shown up on site & spoken with the instructor & they have cancelled the class bc only 1 person showed up & you can attend on zoom. I’ve been waiting on my shirt for about a month now AFTER I’ve passed the class. I was told I would get it the almost a month ago now and still waiting and getting the run around. There’s not really even anyone to express your experience to & they seem like they care and actually get something done about it. Horribly ran. Customer service is in the Phillipeans & you will talk to them most bc your admin won’t respond to your emails or texts or calls & if they do it literally has to be because they are tired of you being persistent. ( this has been my entire classes experience and we started in October ) You HAVE to follow up with anything this company tells you they are doing or are gonna do bc if not then It will take longer than it should have or not even get done. I submitted my schedule for rideouts a month ago and they have just gotten my schedule sent over to an EMS service. I was told I would receive a polo with my name on it directly by my admin & apparently the admin had to take off & I won’t receive a shirt with my name bc that Admin that is now out put the names on the shirts herself. I guess as a side gig which I was told she should’ve have been doing that in the 1st place. Crazy right. My whole class about 7 of us created a group message at the very beginning of class to study together and ask one another questions we may have. Our group text has been major for us & consists of students outside of where I’m based so when we can’t get ahold to our admin for days & weeks we’ve leaned on one another and figured it out. I say that to say you can’t depend on the company to effectively communicate and if you’re reading this & have signed up USE THIS IDEA. Company will sound confused & not have direct answers for things most of the time. I don’t understand how you can have classes and know when the program ends and not have shirts ready for students by that date. I took the Accelerated course and the only hands on training we got was twice in person and one of these days was the day before skills tests. Aside from this we seen one skill get done on zoom & about 3 skills get done on zoom a different day. Here I am still waiting on my shirt and rideouts a month after class & I’ve had to send my availability schedule to 3 different people within the company about 5 times before they actually got it sent over to an EMS company like they had been saying they would for weeks before they actually got it done. When I’d call and ask if they’d heard anything back from people they emailed for different things they’d tell me they’d follow up that day I called to follow up with them on it. Why do I have to follow up with you for you to follow up with emails and text messages you’ve sent out for your students? It’s mind boggling. There’s so much more to add but I have to go study to make sure I keep this information from the course fresh since I may not be able to actually take the NREMT until next year because the company can’t get their stuff together and get everything done in a timely fashion so that I can actually test for my EMT certification. BTW for what it’s worth I think this is the 1st time I’ve ever left a negative review. The experience was literally...
Read moreIf you’re looking to get an EMT cert quick through the fast track program I would not recommend here. It is unfortunate because the instructors, both Breanna and Scott were absolutely OUTSTANDING. They had incredible knowledge on each topic and shared such interesting stories about their own experiences to keep you engaged in class. The biggest concern with the course is the program liaison, Dora, who will be your main point of contact for everything. It is nearly impossible to reach her via: email, text, or phone call; however, she is the one who will schedule your ride-alongs and verify course completion. It took over a month after my course completion to finally have my ride-alongs scheduled and another couple weeks after completing my ride-alongs to have my course completion verified so that I could schedule my NREMT. I also never received a uniform that I paid for with the course after requesting multiple times. She failed to provide me with me with the proper paper work that I needed to fill out during my ride-alongs until I was already halfway done with my ride-alongs, causing me to have to go back to the station multiple times to obtain proper signatures. I understand that many of these things take time and there is a process to it; however, the extreme lack of transparency and failure to respond and inform the students of what was going on at any given moment was very unprofessional. A simple response informing us that it is being worked on would have sufficed, rather than leaving us in the dark to wonder. I will say, customer service did a great job at responding in a very prompt manner and did their best to contact Dora on behalf of...
Read moreThe only reason I gave EMS University 2 stars is for the teachers. The teachers are all very helpful and knowledgeable, especially Margaret. My issue is with customer care and the administration. The first incident was on finals day. I had a fever of 103 and called to see what my options were. I was told I had to take the test sick, that I could not reschedule. I found out I had Strep Throat, highly contagious. After 3 hours, I was finally sent a text stating I could reschedule my test. The latest incident was when I finished the course. I received my certificate on September 29th and have been waiting since the 29th to have the school send over my credentials to the National Registry. It has been over 2 weeks and until it is sent, I can NOT take the National exam. I contact customer care every day and am told the same thing “ we will reach out to the director and contact you back before end of business today.” I have yet to have anyone contact me back. This is the worst customer service I have seen in a long time. Please do your research, there are other schools with more support than...
