With in 30 minutes of opening hours this morning, I had stopped by and order a bacon & egg breakfast burrito. I was greeted nicely at the menu speaker and told to pull forward after given my total by a young man. There was no one in line and no one behind me in the drive thru at the time of ordering, processing payment, along with waiting a short minute for my food. I drove away feeling good like anyone would. Once I got home I cut my burrito in half and shared it with my husband. We had had our first bite and well it didn’t taste like a bacon and egg breakfast burrito…. It had everything you list in a bacon & egg burrito, pico, rice. Unfortunately not put together enough to taste good. The bacon was rubbery and uncooked. We had to put it down and not continue. After being disappointed with the burrito, I took a bite of the chips and salsa. I’m confused on if the tortilla chips are NOT made in house…they don’t look nor taste like it. the paper bag had oil stains on it indicating like it was made in house like what you would expect at any taqueria… the chips were stale or maybe they were just tough because they were fried again before packaging them in brown paper bags? I’m not sure. my experience this morning was not satisfying. This is not my family’s first time here. It has seemed like this location isn’t up to par compared to the other location in grass valley on Sutton Way. I am big supporter of our local Mexican restaurants. As a local, I really wish this business steps it up or simply stick to one location šŸ’› - a fellow supporter named chelsey

If I could give 0 stars I would. I hardly ever review and I’ve only ever given one bad review on google ever. Paid for a jumbo burrito. Has rice, beans, cheese meat, sour cream and guacamole. Got home 5 mins away and burrito was cold. Didn’t want to get in the car and go back and wait again for another one so we microwaved it. Started eating it and got more than half way through and realized there was no cheese, no guacamole, no sour cream and about a tablespoon of rice in the whole thing. So basically we paid for the ā€œjumboā€ burrito and got beans, meat, tomatoes and lettuce. There’s no way for anyone to know that it doesn’t have all that stuff in it until they are eating it. What are you supposed to do, open it up and check? I called the restaurant and told them we live 5 mins away and it was cold, and had nothing in it. They didn’t believe me and said I would have had to bring it back there for them to check that it really didn’t have cheese and sour cream and guacamole. How would I know that unless I cut into the burrito and am eating it? Rude rude rude. No accountability for their mistake at all. It costs them about $3 to make that burrito. They could have given us credit for another one another time or offered us an Appetizer next time. But no. They said since we ate some of it (which we had to do to realize there was nothing in it) that they would do nothing for us. Never will go back here. Too bad. I thought we had finally found some good Mexican food in Nevada County.

The food is just Okay. I make better Mexican food at home. The portions are SO small! You don't get your money's worth. Not even after trying some of everything available at the salsa bar. The tortilla chips are strange. I think they are a blended grain. Not just corn. I paid $5.15 for a tiny quesadilla. I was expecting large flour tortillas. They used the small taco sized ones. I'm bummed that I wasted my time and precious money here. I won't be back.

That was 3 years ago (below) sadly I have changed my tune. We love this place and we love the people and I'm very sad about writing this review. I got my usual, a taco salad with pork and quickly gobbled it down when I got it home. Within a few minutes I had a horrible stomach pains and spent the next 8 hours projectile vomiting. There is no doubt that something in the food made me sick, likely the lettuce. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry in the past, I know that things happen. Things get mislabeled or something that you get from a vendor turns out to not be good. So instead of calling the Health department, I called them directly. Three times I was told to call back later and one time I was hung up on. I finally got someone on the phone who understood why I was calling and translated for the manager what I said. I expected them to thank me and to tell me that they were going to look into it and to be alarmed. Instead, I was told that if their food made anyone sick they would know about it because other people would have called, but since I'm the only one, it's not their problem. I clarified what they said to make sure I understood them and explained our loyalty to their establishment, and I was told I could call the health department if I wanted to and to have a nice day. He hung up. This has been my favorite and only fast food that I'll eat because it's made fresh and they take their jobs seriously. Sadly, the response to my almost being hospitalized from their food, means I'll never eat there again. And yes, I have reached out to the Department of Health in Nevada county.

The flavors are really good and authentically prepared. It's pricey for a drive through. Every time we ask for 2 bags of chips, we get one. We offer to paynifnits extra and they say yes when we ask if it's in the bag and get hone to 1 bag. Church's are always raw in thr center. Not sure if they're trying to deep fry...

This review Is for the location by the fairgrounds. They are truly awful. I have given them so many chances. I dont even know where to begin. I live three minutes away and by the time I get home I have burrito and taco soup because the kitchen staff doesn't know what a slotted spoon is. Time and time again I ask them to drain the pico and they do not do it. Also several times when ordering tacos they appear to have been microwaved, they were absolutely nuclear and the tortillas were what you would expect from being microwaved. The burritos are filled with way to much sour cream and guacamole as well as sopping wet pico often making them stone cold. I've had a few I can't even pick up because they have been filled and rolled so poorly. One time I watched them make a burrito while I was at the drive through window. They used a dripping wet scoop of meat that they didn't bother to drain, they used a dripping wet scoop of pico and then put sour cream on one half and guacamole on the other half. Mmmm instantly soggy burrito.. The staff Is also is less then desirable. Almost every time I go to the drive through I have to wait upwards of two minutes before anyone even acknowledges that I'm there. And one time I asked them to do something about thier soggy tacos and I was told there is nothing they can do and that's just how they make them. Kinda funny that the other location in Brunswick has NONE of these problems. They need to clean house with their staff and then maybe they'll...
