I was here to order a phone last week. I went and they ordered me a new iPhone 8plus. I was told the phone total would be one price, and was given a slip telling me the amount. I paid for the phone a couple days later when it came in and they then charged me an extra $60.00. I didn’t realize it until I reviewed my bill and called Verizon themselves. They told me since I bought it in that store they can’t adjust the price. So my husband is paying $60.00 less for the exact same phone because he ordered it online.
While they were setting up the new phone for me they messed up and had to redo it 3 times before they managed to get it done, because of this Verizon can’t even track what was paid, and I was going to be charged again for the activation fee even though I had already paid this in store. Verizon did waive that for me, so I really appreciated that. I told her when I paid for the phone that I did not want insurance on the phone, and that was not taken off so I was also going to be charged for this. Again Verizon had to go in and have this taken off. She mentioned I could save $10.00 a month if I switched to a different plan that would have the same unlimited date, however she failed to mention that the speeds would not be as fast, so our phones have been extremely slow! And since it was just switched we can’t switch our plan back until next month. I specifically asked her if we could switch back at any time if I didn’t like the new plan and she told me yes! After speaking with Verizon directly this is not the case. I am completely dissatisfied with this stores service, and I will absolutely NEVER go back there for anything in the future. He was sitting there when I walked into a dark building and quickly told me that he didn’t have the simple and low cost Apple Watch charger that I needed but tried to upsell me to one that would charge my watch and phone at the same time. I asked how much and he responded $89. I told him I was going to look around and he quickly replied “good luck, you’re not going to find that anywhere. I walked out and went 2 blocks down the road to another store and they had 3 different kinds of Apple Watch chargers sitting on the shelf starting at $29. Location where they took our name , no smiles, no welcome but just your wait will be over an hour. On the way back home we went to Grayling Verizon retailer. First call was friendly, physically confirmed they had product in stock. Walked into store info r med us as why some products are different. Answered our questions and installed screen protector. Added to the sale with no pressure an otter case. We chatted about òther things and left completely satisfied. They may be a smaller store but they had the customer service, instructions and care.
