Johnny's New York Style Pizza — Restaurant in Grayson

Dear Management,

First and foremost, my family and I appreciate the mediocre service you have provided to us in the past. The food has usually been fresh with good flavor. There have been quite a few times the last year and a half we specifically mentioned having "Johnny's" for dinner.

You are a pizzeria - according to the big sign in your entrance way you are my "neighborhood pizzeria". NEWS FLASH - there are a lot of fine pizzerias in the area. Your number one priority should be memorable customer service. Your pizza is no more memorable than Mellow Mushroom. The service I received tonight will be forever in my memory.

We called at 8:55pm to place an order. The first rep that answered mentioned you were no longer delivering and the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes. As I explained the situation to my wife, they hung up on me. We immediately called back. No answer. Called again - rang 10 times. Someone answers and then proceeds to tell us the kitchen is closed. I explain I had just been on the phone with a rep and was hung up on. I was then asked for my order.

Arrive at the store- no record of my order. The girl argued with me that they had no to go order. Then another employee comes from the back and said "oh yeah, we'll have it shortly". Food comes out - they place it on the counter - no thank you, nothing - placed the food down and walked away.

I'm in the home service business. I have a lot of competitors in my business but I assure you, no one out matches us in the service department. That's how I keep them coming back. A lot of people do what I do - I do it with a smile on my face an ensure my customer (who I would be out of business without) that they are very important to me and I'll be there should they ever have a need. This is my 2nd review on this place and definitely our last time eating here after attempting to give them multiple chances to improve. Although they did not treat me like a thief this time like in my last review, it seems that their customer service has continued to decline. We usually always call ahead for pickup. The last time we ordered, I only received half of my order, and because the server would not wait while I checked my order for accuracy, I had to call in from the parking and wait on hold to notify them of the missing items. We then had to wait an additional 40 min, which totally defeats the purpose of call ahead. However, they did provide a $5 coupon, so we decided to give them one more try. Well, this time… called ahead and, of course, only half of the order was finished at the correct time. I left and returned to retrieve my pizza and it was incorrect. Instead of taking accountability, the lady just gave me excuses to why it was wrong, saying the receipts print incorrectly and expected me to accept the wrong pizza. After insisting a new pizza, I had to wait, yet again, of course. Not even an apology. I was really hoping for improvement, but they just didn’t make the cut. We will rather spend our money where it is...

Ordered a johnnys white and some wings. After placing the order I called to make sure to not add any minced garlic on the pizza. Got home and the pizza had minced garlic and wasn’t cooked all the way and one order of wings was the wrong flavor. I called and they said they would remake it. Super annoying bc my husband had to drive back over and my toddlers had a melt down over having to wait even longer. My husband comes back the second time and the pizza looks horrible still. Just SO much cheese and like no dough it was horrible. Anyways wanted to make the most of it since my husband just went twice. Gave my kids one slice and they split it and didn’t want anymore. I had two and we threw the pizza out and I said never again. Now at 3am I am up throwing up that said pizza. On top of it I am un able to nurse my 4 month old bc she wakes to eat around this time and I am sitting on the bathroom floor vomiting so now my husband has to get up and make her a bottle.
