When I arrived the employees were eating in the dining room. I put in my order with the only free employee. When they finished eating they went back to the kitchen to prepared my order. Maybe they felt rushed since they had taken so long eating their own food. Everything on my Pu Pu Platter was either overdone or burnt. The meat sticks were like beef jerky. The triangular squares were so burnt they could not be identified as food. I have never tasted Mu Shu Pork like they did it. The pancakes were like rubber. The dish was mostly cabbage. It is sad the food was so bad since they are so closest to me. And, I can't say much for employee attitude either as I was taken to task for checking my order before leaving. In the city I moved from, there was a very nasty Chinese owner/chef, but the food was so good it was overlooked. China Cafe should bend over backwards with customer service since the...
Read moreFirst review from 2016: Best Chinese take out ever. I have loved everything i have tried. My favorites are the Egg drop soup, Wonton soup, steamed dumplings, szechuan chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. Their breaded chicken always has a good amount of meat compared with other chinese take out.
You guys are awesome. Thank you for your service.
EDIT from 2021: I have to change my review to 2 stars as the quality of the food has gone downhill. At the time of my original review the dumplings were hand made and similar to soup dumplings. They are obviously now using frozen products and my tummy is very sad. More bread than chicken in the fried products and the chicken is very dry and stringy. Szechuan chicken is still pretty good and really the only saving grace. To the owner: Please reconsider your business model and serve the good food...
Read moreIn 2022 this place was owned by someone else. The previous owners had better food and service. The current owners, use some type of very cheap oil on fried rice Previous owners used a good quality olive oil. I recently went in not knowing about the new owners and I ordered plain fried rice with nothing in it. The odor of the rice smelled like a roast sitting in a kitchen all day. (Not good) The smell of the rice was stuck in my clothes. The rice tasted rancid and like it cooked in a salty, cheap oil. There is no way that the current people that work there, actually would eat thus stuff. **If anyone knows where the Previous Owners have gone, please let me know. The Previous owners actually greeted people and remembered customers and often gave away free items to random people. In total, I am not eating...
