If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. On Saturday I called to inquire about a cake for my daughters 3rd birthday. The lady I talked to on Saturday was wonderful. She told me I'd have to send an email with a picture, how many people I'd need to be feeding with it and when I need it by. I asked her when I could expect a response and she told me that they're closed on Sunday and Monday so to expect a response Tuesday once she could talk to the baker about it. Completing understandable. Not a problem at all. I wanted to give them time so I waited to call until the end of the day when I didnt hear from them and called just a few minutes ago. The attitude and anger I was just met with was completely uncalled for. I mean, wow, completely uncalled for. Not only was she snappy and rude but she actually YELLED at me over the phone. I mean she really raised her voice because I was simply explaining my situation about calling previously. I have absolutely never been so upset with a business in my life. Not only am I now angry and sad, but I feel verbally abused ansd humiliated for absolutely no reason at all. I will 100% be telling every single person I know to not only not inquire at this bakery but if they do to please cancel their orders if they have. I have worked with the public for a very long time and not once have I ever spoken to a customer in the aggressive manner that I was just met with no matter what my work or personal life situation is. If youre reading this, do not order with this bakery. I can assure you that the cake will not be worth the way that this bakery will make you feel emotionally. Honestly I am very disappointed to have to write the review but it needs to be said. Up until now I have had pretty good experiences with this bakery. I’ve had two custom cakes made. They were wonderful and made my kids’ birthdays magical. Not to mention I have gotten deliveries from there, sat to dine in, and picked up treats on other occasions. I called on 1/7/21 to inquire about a cake being made for the 23rd. She told me to email it (I forgot I had to do this before). So I sent an email the same day. She told me that the woman who makes or decorates the cakes was not there that day and she would respond the next day. So I waited until Tuesday. Then I called again and left a voicemail kindly reminding them about the email. It is the 15th and I have not received a response via email or a call. One thing I cannot stand is no communication. That’s bad customer service. I understand places get busy, or maybe they cannot fulfill the order due to other circumstances. If I had been told that, this review would not have been written. And I would continue to be a patron. As of now, I do not want to spend anymore money there. I have also recommended this bakery to other people. I decided to order my. cake from this place because it is a black Christian business. I ordered a custom cake and requested a marble cake with buttercream frosting purple polka dots . They wanted a picture when I called so I found one and sent along with my order. I got a cake with inedible flowers which I didnt ask for and a happy birthday sign not in writing. I ate a piece and it was the nastiest cake i ever ate. After the first bite i knew it was not buttercream. To describe the cake had a gummy outside with a whipped cream inside and the middle tasted of store bought buttercream. The cake itself was dry and salty. Since this was not what I ordered, I took it back the next day. The lady that did it said i sent a picture of a fondant cake. How was I supposed to know that I am not a baker.
