Los Lopez Taco Truck — Restaurant in Great Barrington

Not sure what happened today, and I was hungry, but I think I just had one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. I lived in the southwest and in California for years. I’ve eaten at some of the best taco trucks and taquerias in the world, from the Bay Area all the way down to Mexico City, and this burrito today really stands out as something special. Everything about it was amazing. I’m not sure if they knew big burrito aficionados were gonna be in town for the holiday weekend or what, but they hit a grand slam with this burrito. Not only that but the beverages were amazing too, not too sweet like lots of taquerias do. I got the alpastor and hit it with their medium hot sauce. I almost got emotional it was so good. It took me back to a time in place that was smart and sensible. I wouldn’t take a free tortilla chip from this operation. They deserve every penny they charge. I want to see them succeed. Now we're talking!!! We're new to this area from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania reading areas and street tacos were a staple in the given communities. I always looked for guys that were vending specialty.Products found nothing up here so far until now. Stopped in just to check and don't you know this serves everything and they serve it super well. I found they had Lingua on the menu. A real favorite. So I order three and hoped for the best. I was not disappointed at all. The portion was excellent. And the presentation was spot one, they actually gave a whole roasted pepper and A sprig of roasted shallot with the order and the price was spot on. With all that being said, the food itself was excellent. I enjoyed every bite and left there saded and happy. We were from the next town over in Lee and Great Barrington today has been a regular visit during our week. I will stop at this truck every time in town. Very, very pleased.
