Chucks Oriental Palace — Restaurant in Great Falls

This is not a bad restaurant, but it is definitely not a good one. We had high expectations after reading glowing reviews. When we arrived around 11:30, there was only one person working, and we were the only customers. Service was very fast, but the food was atrocious. The sweet and sour sauce was pink and jelly-like. The chicken did not taste good at all. The 'iced tea' tasted like dirty tap water. The fried rice was decent, but it did not have any egg in it. The chow mein reminded me of ramen noodles without flavor. The egg roll was delicious, but the wontons were suspicious. The vegetables were cooked to a fantastic consistency and were the highlight of the meal. I would not recommend this to anyone looking for quality...

We had not eaten Chucks for a long time so decided to get takeout for a family style lunch. We ordered two items from the entree menu and plain rice with two individual servings of Egg Drop Soup. The entees were enormous but lacked any Chinese food flavor we were familiar with or expected. The vegetables were cut in larger chunks than were desirable. The chicken in one of the entrees taste odd, certainly not fresh. The Egg Drop Soup was bland. Needless to say we were very disappointed and will not get food from chunks again in the future. This place goes down as some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The chicken fried rice was sooo flavourful with nice chucks of chicken , the egg foo young was cooked perfectly, the chicken balls were perfectly battered with large portions of chicken and the chow mein was delicious. So much flavour . We also had pork egg rolls and they were crispy wonton style but absolutely packed with flavour and filling. Sooo good .
