It was a dark and stormy night... Okay, it was maybe just a little breezy, but this is gonna be a long story-I mean review! It was my first visit to Kobe's and I've wanted to go for a long time because Sushi. I was going to talk about the ambiance and all that but fuggadaboutit, let's get to the noms! Overall the food was delicious; fresh, quality, and tasty, and I'll eat there again, for sure. The highlights were Hamaki Sashimi (buttery, melt in my mouth) and Ika Nigiri (delicate, sweet, tender) and Unagi Nigiri (just get it k) Now the oddities... I didn't say issues, I said oddities! The Sunomono salad had longish cucumber sticks, instead of slices and was a bit awkward to eat (I was trying to look cool, but have not mastered using chopsticks and probably looked like a slightly tipsy Koala) large portions, thank goodness I have a big mouth! Also, plum wine reminded me of Hutterite wine but with less alcohol. To conclude this tome: I left there full and happy!

Great time with the team. This spot calles it's a Teppanyaki Restaurant. What the difference is from a Hibachi restaurant, I have no idea. They do the same things as for as I saw. That said, the chef's are very entertaining. The service was great. I took a video of a toddler at the table behind me of the chef flipping pieces of broccoli to this child, (Who CLEARLY did Not have the coordination to catch it 😄.) It was adorable and hilarious! Yes! The baby and her family thought was funny that the kid was getting hit in the face with broccoli bits. It's beed years since going to this type of restaurant. We were definitely not disappointed. Pictured below was my Shrimp Tempora appetizer

Being from out of state, I'm used to very good tepanyaki. Kobe is good but it's missing a couple of things that would make it VERY good. The rice is a little boring. A lot of places usually add bacon to their rice and that really makes it more tasty. Also, the sauces are odd compared to the variations of sweet and spicy sauce most tepanyaki restaurants provide with your meal. That aside, the service is great and the prices are fair. The girl who seated us clearly had a bad attitude with everyone including staff but our waitress was really nice. This place could easily be 5 stars with a couple little tweaks.

Long rant. First and last visit. I'll give KOBE two stars. One of those is benefit of the doubt and because we had a new server that had no business being on her own yet. The table across from us seemed well tended and happy. The other is because what food we got was pretty good. Our service was terrible and we were left wanting. Wanting a refill, wanting our salads, and wanting our soup. Then we wanted our dinner. The show was good. We told the chef and a passing server that we were in need of refills and our white rice. We waited. My husband walked up to get his own refill. The rest of us kept waiting. Our tablemates appetizer finally came as they were finishing their meal and finally we got refills. One round anyway then the glasses sat empty the rest of the visit. We got the bills. The appetizer was on the wrong check and to our surprise, despite not getting our soup or salad, or refills, or my white rice; we were being charged as if we had actually gotten the food we were expected to pay for. We asked for the manager. After a long wait we had another server come over and tell us our server was new and the manager was busy and there was nothing he would do anyway. Literally those were her words. We still asked and eventually a gentleman dressed as a bus boy that seemed to speak almost no English at all came over to tell us "she new". We attempted to explain where we were at and eventually we understood he'd give our table a 20% discount. We waited for another long time and finally paid and left. The worst might have been that it was my husband's birthday and this was his experience. He had heard about the birthday dessert or sake bomb on the radio this afternoon and immediate said I'd like to go there. I told the hostess, I told the server, I know a few comments were made around the chef. We were never even asked about dessert much less his birthday sweet. I'm really disappointed. I had high hopes for a...

In 2014 I took staff after long day home & garden show to treat them for good food & ambiance. We got there the hostess said she could seated us within 10 minutes. Then we asked for the special table she said if you wait 35 minutes I could seat you there. We said that is fine we will wait. We waited even longer about 50 minutes. Then there was group of birtgday people showed up over asked for the same table. Manger came to us if we can seat on anotger table since this group is bigger they seat there. We said no we have been waiting for this table long time & you cannot change that in us last minutes. So what manger did she put all of us together. It was very uncomfortable & hostile situation. the group tried to give us hard time to leave so they have it all for themselves. We Got up complained to manger she said she would talk to them. I said you were not supposed to add so many other chairs to this table & put us all together. You are asking for this chaos . This is very wrong what you did. This is even against law to put too many chairs around the table that cannot fit. We got up & left. Went to the hostess & complained she said she totally understands me her mom is also business owner & this would not be acceptable to her either. She hand out the menu with the information of the place to talk to owner. This is very very bad Managment. Really poor wants to get people in argument rather than making a peicefull place for people. I have kept the information to for sure write this review. In all my life I have never seen a poor manganet like this. Will never go there again very bad taste...

we love eating here. we had a horrible experience by staff and management yesterday evening. our waiter he was awesome he was kind and respectful. my husband and I were seated at the grill and we had let him know my sister-in-law was going to join us. we ordered drinks and an appetizer. it was not busy at all. no one was waiting for a table. 20 mins after waiting for my husbands sister our waiter told us his manager was upset and if she was coming, he apologized and said it didnt bug him that we were waiting. we thought this was very rude we were eating our appetizers at this point. no one was at the grill we were at. 2 girl waitress stood by us gossiping about my sister in law not being here yet and she was taking to long. yes it was about 30mins but it was not busy and no one was at our grill no one was waiting to be seated. one of the waitresses came up to me very rude said now ru sure she is coming. very rude! once my husband's sister came a couple cames and sat at our grill we all ordered at the same time. again it was not busy at all. our waiter was so kind to us. but all the waitresses and the manager was very disrespectful. we were very uncomfortable, as we were eating we could feel the tension of all the workers staring at us. we didnt take our time eating, we all wanted to vist but we were so uncomfortable and as we left 3 girl workers im assuming one was the manager glaring watching us walk out. the manager never talked to us at all. we will not be returning for...
