I was initially thrown because my experience with Korean BBQ has been where the people dining grill the meat at the table. It is still Korean BBQ, just cooked by the staff in the kitchen instead of customers at the table
I have been there twice and it was excellent both times. This is not a fancy meal, it is a hearty Korean workers style meal. Everything tastes amazing. I have tried the Beef, Spicy Pork (above and beyond amazing) Chicken and Spicy Chicken Wings (I love this style chicken and now I can buy it at a restaurant without making it at home :-)! Don't be dissuaded by the bowl it comes in. This helps with to go orders and keeping the cost down. For just over $12 you can get an amazing meal that is all homemade on site. Everything is super tasty. Select the sauce of your choice and stir the ingredients together and enjoy an amazing Korean meal at an extremely affordable price. This will be a once a week treat for my family.
**I went back again today, the 4th time now. I was excited to see that they have expanded their menu. I didn't memorize all the new idems but I remember seeing Kimbop and Tteokbokki. I know my daughter will be excited to see this.
It has been a couple months since I've been here. It's amazing to see they have expanded the menu to include honestly Korean soups. This is a perfect addition just in time for winter. My daughter had the Kimchi Jjigea and really enjoyed it to the...
Read moreWow! This is what food dreams are made of! Went in with an idea of what I wanted and wound up ordering several things to try! I was NOT disappointed!! The kimchi is some of the best I have ever eaten. The spice level is perfect as is the umami, salty and buttery flavors this stuff is packing! Just delicious! The 3 side item dish that came with cucumbers, tofu and bean sprouts was definitely top notch. This is a savory delight and recommend that you give it a try! Having some additional fresh veggies to go with the meal was perfect! Tteokbokki was a fantastic blend of heat and deliciousness! I feel as if the rice cakes could have cooked longer but I let them to sit and rest while other things were being eaten and they became more soft and the right texture. Spicy chicken bulgogi bowl with the #9 gochujang sauce was superb! All the flavors down to the bit of sesame oil mixed in with my extra sauce was just amazing. Portion size is great! I was given a complimentary side of crispy anchovies and they were scrumptious! I was delighted at the texture! I wish I could say I ate it all - I had a really nice portion of things leftover for dinner later that reheated very well! Overall this place was delicious! Clean, friendly and priced right. This is a hidden gem that needs to be visited! I can’t wait to come back to see the owners and enjoy another authentic Korean meal here. My mouth is watering...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Korean Cup Bop an authentic Korean mom and pop restaurant. It reminded me of food back home or in Koreatown in Los Angeles. In the middle of the USA, there arent much selection for asian food, let alone great asian food. This spot is the spot.
The each dish burst with authentic Korean flavors. From the japchae, gochu sauce, and kimchi, spot on. And you know its spot on when a korean grandma greets ya at the front door to take your order.
The owner was super nice and she also sells kimchi on the side. Psst take advantage of it guarantee you its dankaf.
What sets them apart is the dedication and passion of the owners and staff. They go above and beyond to ensure every guest has an unforgettable dining experience. The reasonable prices are a bonus.
For those seeking authentic Korean cuisine, korean cup bop is a must-visit. You'll be treated like family and leave with a smile. This hidden gem deserves all the praise it receives--I can't...
