We came in at about 6pm on Sunday 2/4/2024. I'm not one to write a review, but I was astonished by how poor the service was.
We were sat at our table by the bartender. He said he'd be right back with some water and to take our drink order. We sat there for five minutes, in plain view of the bartender who sat us, waiting for water.
Another waitress came, and took our order. We had to call her back over to order our drinks, and then she later remembered to get us water.
Our drinks were made right after our order, and sat at the bar for 5-10 minutes while our waitress walked in-between us and the bar, where our drinks were several times. She then proceeded to go to the food running station, and have a small snack, while our drinks were waiting.
We put our flag up, our waitress returned to our table promptly, and we reminded her about our drinks, which see said "Let me see if I can get that figured out."
Food was great, Quesabirria tacos are a great addition to the menu.
A trainee came and swept next to our table mid meal, which has never happened to me at a restaurant before.
Our waitress came back to ask if we wanted dessert, we said no, and she left before we could put in our last drink order.
The way they run bills is clever, they run your card, then bring a portable kiosk to you to sign and enter a tip. Our waitress watched as I entered $3, for the unmistakably poor service, and was clearly upset, giving us a scowl on our way out.
Usually this is a great spot for dinner, and the staff is on the ball. I don't know if this was a fluke, but I left sad due to a flat beer and the non-attentive staff on...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of ordering from Luna's Tacos & Tequila, and I'm still trying to figure out where the $57 went. What I received was an insult to both Mexican cuisine and basic common sense. First off, let's talk about the portions. For the exorbitant price, you'd expect a meal, not a sad collection of ingredients. The tacos were minuscule, and the sides were an absolute joke. My so-called jicama coleslaw, which cost a ridiculous $4, was nothing more than two measly ounces of regular cabbage. The menu claimed the tortillas were "homemade," but one bite was all it took to reveal they were straight from a store-bought package—a blatant lie. The yuca fries I ordered were also a bait-and-switch; what I got were standard, pre-made crinkle-cut fries. The food itself was a disaster. The meat was bone dry, and the entire meal tasted like it had been lazily reheated in a microwave. To add to the disappointment, we had to assemble everything ourselves since it was a to-go order. After spending a small fortune on this culinary travesty, my family and I were left completely unsatisfied and feeling utterly ripped off. If you're going to charge premium prices, you need to deliver on two things: generous portions and quality food. Luna's Tacos & Tequila failed on both counts. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects its customers and the food...
Read moreLuna’s Tacos in downtown Greeley is one of our favorite spots for a fun, affordable meal—especially on Taco Tuesday, when street tacos are just $1 with any drink purchase. My boys love getting lemonade, and I usually order what we jokingly call a “Mexican lemonade”—a virgin margarita with that same zesty flavor, minus the alcohol. The tacos are fresh, flavorful, and approachable—not greasy, just really well done.
The atmosphere at Luna’s is vibrant and creative—an eclectic mix of modern Mexican and downtown artsy charm. We haven’t been back since their recent remodel, but every part of the restaurant we’ve sat in has been welcoming and fun (the rooftop is a great bonus when the weather is nice!).
One thing I really appreciate: even though Luna’s has a full bar, they’re very respectful and welcoming to non-drinkers and families. I’ve always felt comfortable bringing my kids, and we’ve consistently had great service—whether we’re ordering a full meal or just doing tacos and mocktails. That’s not always the case in places with a bar scene, so it’s worth mentioning.
We even had a time-sensitive lunch here during jury duty, and the staff was great at honoring that schedule without making...
