Many THANKS 🙏 first to whoever built and maintains such a magical place especially at Christmas! The spiral staircase is enchanting and the Lafayette Crepe Breakfast Cafe with self serve overnight cookies and beverages took taste and pampering to new levels. The Innkeeper suite was romantic, functional and for my torn hamstring, a very therapeutic place to stay!!!
A beautiful girl Shelby arranged the stay! I told her to book us next Christmas or next week!!
We loved short walk down 9rh to downtown Greeley especially Kress Movie Theatre/Secret "Closet" downstairs, Moxie Theatre, Emporium which just closed😭, Luna's and best food at Pinocchio's close to UNC!
ALSO MANY THANKS TO STAFF FOR their help and support when on the last day I discovered my license had fallen out of my pocket somewhere between Currier and downtown Greeley!
The Greeley Police were by far the best at trying to help with both my search and necessary police report that was critical in convincing many agencies that I had lost it recently.
Thank you ALL SO MUCH for your care and concern about my embarrassing and unsettling story about losing my license and mildly panicked about being able to board my midnight flight back to Key Largo Florida!
Good News! I passed the relatively simple call to the "National Identification Agency" after a really nice TSA agent listened and thankfully believed my story.
She had me sign a simple application with my name and address. She then told me I could not refer to my phone or other documents for answer during the phone call and she repeated questions from NIA.
Simple questions like last 4 digits of phone number, make, model of present car were easy. Only thought provoking question was the state where my Social Security card was issued?
That went back in history when I started work delivering papers as an 8 year old in Columbus, Ohio!
I share this all to limit the drama and stress for the next guy or girl who embarrasses themselves by losing their ID right before needing it for air travel!!!
It's a fixable problem and hopefully a lesson how NOT to feel for a moment like I'd been beamed up by Scotty or UFO!?!?
THANKS EVERYONE for your help and support
Currier Inn and Lafayette Breakfast...
Read moreWe became aware of the Currier Inn while searching for place to stay while in Greeley for a graduation celebration. Historically we have always stayed at the usual hotels when travelling, and those tend to be adequate. This B&B is way more than adequate. It is easy to locate and is a beautiful place. I note that a reviewer found the art displayed to be a bit odd. We found the art, and everything else to be pleasing and comfortable. We were fortunate that the Inn was not especially busy, and it was a nice change from the usual crowded, noisy places elsewhere. On the front desk is a sign that says 'Come as strangers, leave as friends'. That is exactly our experience. We met Derek briefly and chatted for a bit. He seems a very interesting fellow. We were able to spend a good bit of time with Stephanie during our breakfasts, learning about her and her husband's extensive travels and family. She is a lovely, sincere and worldly lady, without an ounce of pretense. And, I might add, she made some of the best breakfasts we have every had. We did leave as friends, and we will stay there again. Last, but not least, prices at the Inn are quite reasonable, and the place is very clean and well maintained. We felt very much...
Read moreMy room and the facility itself were very nice. However, the "amenities" were extremely disappointing. I was told that the kitchen was being renovated and so breakfast items would be put out in the morning for guests to serve themselves. That consisted of 2 "clamshell" containers of muffins and 2 of donut holes, likely from a local grocery store, and a bunch of bananas. Next to these was a handwritten note that said "for guests" and a stack of paper bowls, even though none of the breakfast options required a bowl. Not even any napkins provided. When you advertise as a Bed & Breakfast and the reminder email that is sent 4 days before my stay discusses the breakfast schedule, asks about dietary restrictions, etc, it shows a total lack of planning or concern on your part. How about a couple of other fruit choices and a selection of pastries from a local bakery? Or if that's too much trouble, make an adjustment in the rate to compensate for not providing breakfast. There was also a coffee pot in my room but no cups or coffee provided. It troubles me to post a negative review for a local business, especially given how difficult things have been this past year, but I also don't want other guests to be...
