For about two years me and my fiancé have been ordering takeout from Sherpa Grill and tonight we dined in for the first time together. Having tried dozens of places in Greeley I can confidently say this is the best. Not the best Indian restaurant, not the best sit down restaurant, the best straight out. There is literally no restaurant in Greeley that’s even 75% as good, there were more before COVID that came close but now this is unambiguously the best food in Greeley.
For roughly a year we were vegetarians and absolutely Loved the meat free options here, especially the Daal Makhni. Once we started eating meat again I fell in love with their lamb offerings as well. Legit this is so good we eat here at least once a month.
The chai is delicious and on the occasions I’ve come to pick up our food and it was late the chai was also free. The service is attentive but not overbearing, the decor is fun and relaxing, the music is a bit eclectic but by no means bad. It’s kinda fun listening to Kesha on date night because like, idk throwback lmao.
It’s not even that expensive either, we just had a filling decadent meal with drinks and food to take home for like 35 bucks. That’s like, idk, two salads from Panera bread. We’re moving out of Greeley soon and this will be one of the few restaurants I’ll...
Read moreWe, a work crew and I, stopped by for a Wednesday lunch. We got there just as they unlocked the door. It was my first time here and second time at an Indian restaurant. One of my crew mates insisted it was spicy yet delicious.
There was a lunch buffet and it looked good, but I avoid them. I ordered chicken Tikka vindaloo, hot. They have several choices of heat. Hot appeared to be the second the hottest. Indian hot was hotter. There were much milder options for the sauce. Don't let fear of heat stop you. The food was delicious. They were not kidding, the hot was hot. I tasted others who got more mild offerings and there was a definite difference in heat.
We shared a giant rice bowl and some of the crew got naan bread, plain and garlic, which they shared. Both were good, but I preferred the garlic one and will order it next time.
The server kept checking in and made sure our drinks stayed full. We were in and out in enough time for our lunch hour.
I took half home to share with my son who loves spicy too. He has a peanut allergy and they assured me there were no peanuts in it. He thought the dish was yummy and even asked where it was so he could go.
Don't hesitate to try this place, it was well...
Read moreSherpagrill is a nice place for a good indian/Napoli restaurant in Greeley. The dining room color/decor is a bit tacky/dated but that doesnt reflect at all on the food and friendly service. During our entire meal, there was only 2 other tables sitting for dining as well, so it seems like it would not be too difficult to get a table even if you came in with a bigger party. In the 1.5 hours we were there, what made the place busy was the constant in and out of togo orders and doordash drivers picking up big bags of food! We had an order of samosas for appetizer and they were nice, golden and crispy exterior and hot flavorful interior served with 2 delicious sauces for dipping. I dont remember the name of the gravy we got but it had the cheese and peas in a tomato sauce. My favorite that we ordered was the lamb biryani! It was so flavorful and unlike other Britain's I have eaten it came with a nice yogurt sauce on the side that complimented it very well! I am fairly new to Greeley so I have many places I would like to try, but when my indian food cravings return I will deffinatley return to...
