We arrived at the DoubleTree on a Thursday evening. We had 2 reservations for 3 nights as we were having some adult children join us in Colorado for the weekend. The front desk attendants were gracious. The rooms were a nice surprise as they were very spacious and clean. In fact, the hotel was very clean and they had a nice workout room which was a bonus.
On Saturday evening upon arriving back at the hotel we asked the front desk attendant if we could receive a late checkout (2 pm) for one of our rooms. The attendant was accommodating and agreed to this request. However, on Sunday at 12:00 (regular checkout time) my daughter was in the shower when a hotel employee walked in on her. Not a fun surprise! Because I wanted to verify our previous request, I called the front desk and this is were our stay went downhill very quickly. I shard with the attendant that we had been given a "late" checkout until 2 pm and wanted to confirm because someone had entered the room while is was occupied by my daughter. The hotel employee handled the situation very poorly. She told me I was going to be charged for 1/2 of the cost of the nights stay if we did not remove ourselves from the room immediately. She proceeded to call the cops on my husband and I as she stated that we were yelling at her and she did not like it. I could not imagine how poor the line of communication was becoming. No effort to be kind, just attacking us because the front desk attendant "should not have granted us the extension".
Upon gathering out belongings and wanting to leave the hotel we were greeted by the head of housekeeping who was very kind. She listened to what had transpired and quickly said that our request for a late checkout had been granted and she was disappointed that the front desk attendant was so aggressive and incredibly unprofessional in her behaviour. Calling the police was beyond my wildest dreams.
I have called the hotel twice after arriving back home to discuss with the hotel manager and am awaiting a return call.
To say we were disappointed is a valid statement. Hire people with good communication skills because this situation had no business escalating to where it went. Being "kind" is a real thing! Train your employees on how to use your computer system.
I will not be returning to this location. I am a very frequent traveler and have never been so...
Read moreSo far so bad. Worst view of any hotel except one I ranked 1 star. Only reason it is 3 is because suite is updated and really nice. Front desk person said would have park view but instead is tar paper view. What a waste putting an executive suite here. Was thinking of switching my reservation next week from Homewood Suites to here, but lost my trust so will keep that hotel on my next review. Will update covid stuff here as well tomorrow.
More deception on the internet login. You receive internet instructions with your room key. It says to use coupon/promo code to get free Premium access. Don't use this is as slow as cow at 4mb or less. When you login to Hilton account instead get real Premium access at 14.53 mb up and 14.56 down. Only been here 2 hours and mislead twice. The carpet has what looks like vomit stains on it. The end table looks like someone took a sander to it. Think AC is not bad with 54-69F outlet temp, but thermostat is a little difficult to use. Covid rules are attached. Reported all issues to person at front desk who seemed disinterested. In other words, blown off. Resteraunt is really good and manager Harley rider she is very cool.
Pool temperature was a little high at 85 F and hot tub was perfect at 103 F. Also, hot tub timer was working which is rare. Building engineers are only thing in hotel doing great job. Went to font desk to ask for towel and said pool not ooen until 9am. Deception #3 since sign included here clearly says 6 am.
Last but not least bed was a little hard for me, but least of my problems. At 2:30am phone rang and hung up and rang again 2 additional times until 3am then stopped. Told front desk would disconnect phones tonight and if still rings again I give up. Never happen in hundreds of hotels I reviewed before. Guess can look at positive fire alarm did not go off which happens all the time at other hotels.
Finally, I was not offered cookie at checkin. Believe this is question on all Double Tree surveys. I was able to get on on last day, but a little late by the chain standards.
After staying at Greeley Homewood Suites upgraded this hotel to 3 stars since is much 👌 better here. Think would be be 4 to 5 in better none covid times with consistent staffing. Will definitely return here when things are...

My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Greeley, Colorado, was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. This hotel truly exemplifies the warm hospitality and comfort the Hilton brand is known for.
From the moment I arrived and was greeted with that legendary warm DoubleTree cookie, I felt welcomed. The room was impeccably clean, modern, and very comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a busy day.
However, the absolute highlight of our visit was dinner at the hotel restaurant. I decided on the fillet mignon, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of spectacular. Honestly, it ranks among the best I've ever had! Cooked to utter perfection (a beautiful medium-rare), it was incredibly tender, bursting with flavor, and simply melted in my mouth. The accompanying sides were equally delicious and complemented the steak beautifully. This wasn't just good hotel food; it was a truly memorable fine dining experience.
The exceptional meal was made even better by the truly exceptional service I received. My server, Griffin, deserves the highest praise. Griffin was the epitome of professionalism – attentive without being intrusive, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm and engaging. He anticipated my needs perfectly, ensured my glasses were never empty, and contributed significantly to the overall enjoyment of my evening. His positive attitude and dedication to providing a top-tier experience were truly impressive. Griffin is a tremendous asset to the DoubleTree team!
Beyond the amazing dinner and Griffin's service, the entire hotel staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient, and the amenities were excellent.
If you're looking for a comfortable, welcoming stay in Greeley with the potential for an unbelievably good steak and truly stellar service (ask for Griffin!). look no further than the DoubleTree by Hilton. I will absolutely be back, thanks largely to that incredible fillet mignon and the wonderful service provided by Griffin!
