Trying to find the best chips and salsa, lime margarita and steak taco in the Green Bay area. Each is rated on a scale of 1-5.

Taco Tour stop #20

Chips and Salsa - Chips were very bland and had an old frying oil taste to them. They were a thicker chip. They need to change their fry oil and add some salt to the chip. The salsa i think has been my favorite so far. It was a thicker in consistency salsa with chunks of tomatoes and onions. It was very flavorful and had a great kick to it - if im rating the chips it’s a 1 and the salsa is a 5 - overall 3

Lime margarita on the rocks - first taste wasn’t the best. It was warm and extremely salty BUT once the drink cooled down and a good stir, it was actually a really good margarita -4

Steak Taco: Flavor: 3 Fullness: 3 Appearance: 3

The meat had an…..interesting consistency. It was soft, but not in a tender way, almost mushy, it was weird. Some pieces were seasoned, others were not. They did show some love to the tortilla by frying it a little bit.

Service - 3

The restaurant has no background noise or music playing and you literally feel like you are in a library. You can hear everyone’s whispering conversations as well as chewing.

I'll give 2 stars solely because the food is decent. It's not spectacular. But it is decent. The service on the other hand was horrible. The food came out quickly, which was good, but the server was horribly rude the entire time. He was combative pretty much from the get go. We had a larger group (6 adults, 4 kids) so there were separate checks. We literally ordered in the manner our checks would be so it isn't exactly complicated and notified him immediately instead of at the end. But he was automatically angry. Overcharged meals for additional things that state ON THE MENU are included. Was curt and snotty the entire time. We couldn't wait to get out of there. When we went to pay, he tells us he added an 18% tip to each of our checks because we had a larger party. Which would have been fine if he had stated that in the beginning, versus just barking it at us as he handed us the checks. Plus, that's definitely something you should tell people up front as many people still leave cash for tips. Overall, decent food, terrible service. Definitely won't go back when I'm...

This location is nothing like the locations in Appleton or Neenah. To begin with, we ordered a Shrimp Enchilada and a Shrimp Burrito, and what received looked like it was just thrown together. Both plates were exactly the same, which looked like imitation crab and baby shrimp stuffed in a tortilla and just thrown together. Then the sauce and rice/beans were just added to make it "look good." As for the service, they didn't seem to care at all. When asked if our food was good, he was like "No?" then walked a way with no care in the world. Not a true authentic Mexican restaurant as advertised at all. More like Mexi-poop to be honest.
