I grew up with Hardees and also worked at a Hardees once upon a time and returned to this area recently and wanted to stop by.
THE FOOD: I ordered fries a roast beef sandwich and a hot ham and cheese everything was fine the fries were a little disappointing other places have better French fries. Still. Totally bummed that thE ice cream is scoop shop style, BRING BACK THE TWIST CONES!!!!
THE SERVICE: The service was so so it was slow the guy behind the register wasn't paying attention when he took my order and rang me up for curly fries instead of regular fries after I told him I had changed my mind to cancel the curly and make it a regular. There was a price difference but I told him it was fine I had already waited long enough I wanted to get out of there. It took a little longer to get my food than it should have I watched both my sandwiches sit waiting to be bagged and the French fries were already made so I don't know what the hold up was other than the cashier wasn't paying attention, nor was he busy doing much else.
THE REASON 2 STARS: There was a manager working with this cashier. I watched this manager take payment, finish out drive-through orders touch the screen for a new orders then take a wayward curly fry from the fry bin and and move it back to the curly fry bin. GROSS. No one should be directly touching food with their bare hands unless they are prepping food and not handling money or credit cards or have washed their hands first. I really shouldn't have been very surprised by this gross transaction as I was grossed out by another thing I noticed. The guy who took my order had a new tattoo on his right arm between his wrist and his elbow. It was covered in just an ointment making it glossy but it was not covered from anything else no bandage nothing. Again, not something that was ok.
I wouldn't return to...
Read moreI have fought for years that Hardee's $6 Burger is as good of a hamburger as you can find anywhere. I had two of them tonight and I still believe it. The brioche bun is sweet and has just the right amount of fluff versus density. The bacon was not too greasy and not too crispy. Just right. The meat is 100% cow. You can just tell there are no fillers and no junk in that beef. The lettuce was of a generous portion and not this shriveled up shredded up stuff you get at other fast food places. Tomatoes on a sandwich at any restaurant are always a bit of a gamble, but the ones on my burger tonight we're pretty doggone good. And that leaves those delicious red onions. My only complaint about onions ever is that there never seems to be enough of them on my burger. I give the Hardee's thickburger and the Hardee's restaurant on Packerland Drive in Green Bay a 5-star...
Read moreI usually stop by this location as it's opened 24 HOURS but tonight for some odd reason they were CLOSED!!! At 12:04 am I attempted to place my order at the drive thru. The automated voice prompted me to place an order. I called out to the speaker about 4-5 times and had no response. My partner got impatient and beeped the horn. A female employee opened a door to which we couldn't see due to the blocking of the menu boards and impatiently shouted, "WE'RE CLOSED!!“ and retreated back inside.
No apologies, no explanation!! 24 hours the huge sign boasts, but they happened to be CLOSED?!
Do not advertise that you're open when you're closed! And I don't care if you're closed- that doesn't mean common courtesy is" closed". Rude.
Needless to say, thankful for McDonald's next door who was also opened 24 hours so I can grab my hungry family a...
