To start, the food was absolutely amazing, the best Indian food in the area. I say the best in the area for the authenticity, cost, and quality of the dishes served. I also say that as a person who typically is not a fan of Indian food, however, again, it was absolutely AMAZING. Unfortunately, our parties service was extremely poor, in my personal opinion. We were a group of nine adults there celebrating a birthday. Our server, be it a very sweet girl, took our orders and began bringing the dishes out as our food was prepared. When the dishes were brought out, they were not identified appropriately, so one member of our party was served another members order. As the confusion ensued, our server had the restaurant manager (who was also a very personable gentleman) come out to our parties' table to solve the confusion. After several minutes of attempting to sort through our orders, the chef was brought out to our table, who properly identified and sorted out the dishes, by which point people had already started dining on the wrong dish. We, as a group, accepted the error and happily traded the dishes within our party to enjoy our celebration. After our bills were brought out and paid, there were multiple items that were not paid for per the server. We sorted out the errors and found two items were legitimately not paid for by our group due to all of the confusion at the time of being served, however there was a charge on the bill the restaurant was adamant they served our table but in the end was legitimately a duplicate charge, which they then did remove. We all felt that at the end of the situation, with serving people in our party the incorrect orders and not being asked to remake any food, if there were any items not paid for, the restaurant should have comped any charges at that point as the issue was legitimately on their part, not our parties. It is absolutely a filthy shame there are service issues from beginning to end, meaning from our server to their leadership, or this would be the most amazing eatery in the greater...
Read moreI want to start by saying your restaurant is lovely and the flavors of our food were wonderful. The Naan was fantastic. I ordered shahi chicken korma and my husband ordered chicken tikka masala. We were offered to choose a spice level between 1 and 5. I like a little heat, but am a bit on the sensitive side. I mentioned this to the wait person and asked if 2 would be all right. It was super hot for me! I could only eat a couple bites. My husband ordered spice level 2.5 and noted it was spicy, but he could handle it. I tried his and it seemed just as spicy as mine. We ordered vegetable pagoda and received it right away- very tasty, as was the chutney (a little spicy, but not bad). I got a mango Lassi right away as well and it was good. My husband stuck with water. One bottle was brought out when we sat down, but as we both had spicy meals, we ran out quickly and had to flag someone down to get more (not our initial wait person). I got my meal timely, but my husband's meal and the Naan were not delivered at the same time. After a few minutes the Naan and another dish came out - but it was not chicken Tikka masala. We told this to the wait person and she took away the tray - not even dropping off the Naan. After waiting and hour for his food, we were able to speak with a gentleman (manager?) and asked about my husband's food. Our wait person never came back with an update or an apology. Eventually, his food did arrive, and shortly thereafter our wait person appeared to ask if we were done and needed boxes. My husband had just started eating, so we asked for a little more time. He did finish his meal and we didn't really have any further issues. I know the wait person was new - she mentioned that when she brought out the wrong food - but a little more attention/customer service would have been nice. The restaurant traffic was steady, but didn't seem overwhelming. We did frequently observe our wait person standing by the front desk doing nothing Although the food was very good, I'm not sure we'll be...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER! If you don't have 2 hours and 30 minutes to spare, DON'T GO! My wife and i went out for a much needed date night and decided to to eat here, despite all the bad reviews on google, we opt to come try anyways and thought maybe it was just bad timing. We got seated, set down for 20 minutes without ANYONE coming to talk to us, not to mention asking us what we want to drink. After 20 minutes of waiting, a couple comes and gets seated right behind us, the waiter goes and ask them what they wanted to drink right away, and they received there drinks, right soon after that, the couple was asked if they were ready to order, in which they ordered there appetizers first. Another 10 minutes goes by and there appetizers comes out, all while NO ONE EVEN CAME AND SAID ANYTHING TO US! One of the waiters maybe noticed that we sat like idiots for about 30 minutes now, finally decides to come ask us if we've been helped, Of course i gave her a little attitude...she then says, are you ready to order, OF COURSE WE WERE READY TO ORDER we just sat there for almost 40 minutes with NO ONE coming to ask us anything. We finally ordered our food, we didn't get rice for one of the dish...finished our food, sat there again for another 30 minutes without Again, sounding like a broken record, NO ONE CAME AND EVEN ASKED US HOW EVERYTHING WAS! Finally, i had enough and had to flag ANYONE working there, that my wife and I were ready to go and needed a box, and also wanted our check. All said and done, a simple dinner took us 2 hours and 30 minutes! My wife and I also had plans to go Downtown afterwards for a few drinks (since the kids needed to sleep) well that plan got cancelled. I have to say, I have been in a few bad situations where the service was bad, but this had to be the WORST IVE EVER HAD! like, seriously didn't the person that sat us down even cared or knew that we weren't...
