Let me tell you about my experience........ I almost didn't go in to the new location on Harrison Avenue on the West Side of Cincinnati because the parking lot was PACKED but I've found from experience that the folks at McAlister's Deli can burn thru a packed house in a matter of minutes. I'm so glad I went in! It became apparent very quickly that this place works like a well-tuned orchestra. My (very large) to-go order was perfect down to the last 'sauce on the side, please' and ready to go in less than 10 minutes. It's what happened in those ten minutes of waiting that sold me hook, line and sinker. A young man cleaning the tables in the dining area offered me a tea refill, without being asked! The young lady at the to-go counter immediately sensed I needed a container to load some pickles and peppers up for our order and the young man getting our food ready asked me if there was anything else he could get me (even though I had already asked for my share of sweetener, extra napkins, lemon, etc) and then when I asked for extra butter, he magically appeared within 10 seconds and dropped several pats into my waiting bag. It was easy to recognize why all these folks were working for the greater good of the customer when I was able to observe Jerry, the Manager aka Conductor, simultaneously help run the drive-through, talk to a phone/internet customer about a trouble-some coupon issue AND shuffle between the front counter cashiers and the kitchen crew, giving direction and compliments, simultaneously and equally. Those ten minutes of observation solidified my loyalty to McAlister's Deli, something that often takes restaurants many visits to obtain from their customers. Thank you, Jerry and Crew, for making a rainy day stop well worth it! ...

After 10 minutes, a man walked in and she yelled over asking if he needed a carryout. He said Yes, and she waited on him. We thought someone else must be covering the front...we continued to wait. The young girl at carryout came over to get something and I asked if there was a manager. She turned her back and continued getting something from the back counter. Two ladies in back looked out at us but did not acknowledge us. We finally started to walk out I did try to call a manager 3 times while in the parking lot, but the girl put us on hold all 3 times, even though there were no customers. Sunday...
Read moreThe food is good. Been there twice recently. First time wait was forever, kept checking on my sandwich, finally after 15 minutes, i saw a bag sitting but no name called. So finally I asked whose? It was mine, but missing an item! It took 5 more minutes to get the piece of bread !!! 2nd visit: i asked where on the menu was the featured chicken sandwich. She kept telling me it was the club, i said the sandwich had no bacon after 5 more minutes I found it. Then she misspelled my name. Food came out kept calling a name, I finally asked what the order was...it was my order wrong name. The girl had a very non caring attitude and after overcharging me didnt even apologize. Safe to say the register workers. Managers, and front desk staff need as lot more food service training ....
