TLDR: I could have and should have left had dinner somewhere else and you should too. Don't waste your money you can do better from the grocery store or have a nice meal where when you pay 50 a person they treat you like it. Overall the experience was not great. Everything was extremely overpriced. From the food even to the insane upcharge of several dollars to run my credit card to pay and leave. I'm sorry but eat the fee to run the card or find a better processor and bake it into your cost LIKE A NORMAL BUSINESS. The cheapest meal is almost 27 dollars and if you want fried rice it's an extra 6 dollars per meal for them to give you the same very small cup of rice and add two eggs to cook the entire tables amount of rice. For a six dollar upcharge on rice I would expect to have plenty of rice let's be honest it's cheap. There was NO show yep half of the reason people go. The food portion was about half of what I would expect. There was no miso soup just some cheap onion broth lol. I have never gone to hibachi and not left with food but here I barely had any on my plate. No one took a box home at the table.. Soda is 3.50 and if you get a refill the cup size comes back smaller. It's kinda crazy to me when your meal is as much as this, and to get all these upcharges and cheap feelings. Clearly this place is not run well.

This might have been a five star review as food was tasty, but - having been invited here by friends - I perused reviews briefly and noticed mentions of the "fried rice for $5.25 up-charge" issue. Thankful for this knowledge, when the server takes orders, she, one-by-one, points at each person and says, "Fried rice?" Each person just nods, oblivious to the ramification. I said, "No thanks," and she was surprised. When the cook arrives at the table to prepare your meal, there's a mound of white rice with a few bits of chicken and green onion. He prepared that, poured on a bunch of soy sauce and served it up to all but me. I got NO rice. My host mentioned the rice to the cook twice and he muttered something about "they didn't bring it." Below is a picture showing my rice, delivered to me AFTER ALL food had been eaten by all. This felt punitive. There were 11 of us, so this restaurant's up-charge tactic netted them $52.50 more - for a small pile of lame fried rice. Minus one star for a up-charge scheme and minus one star for punishing me for not falling for it. (Oh, and don't order the filet mignon as when they cook the beef for your table it all gets chopped up and mixed up and you get a portion of the pile.)

Ordered 3 steak kids meals, 2 sushi rolls, and Ichiban… Total $175.00 I understand that prices have increased and the photo of a menu online might be before Covid, but going from $14.25 to $25 per kids meal is a bit ridiculous… roughly 75% increase. If we just estimated total cost from the menus online vs today, it was $80 to now $175 for our meal. By the way when I asked for the total, the person couldn’t give it to me since she would need to ring it up in the system. I think someone should be able to give some kind of estimate or a cost of each item as they taking the order. The picture is the $25 kids meal (not including the white rice). Bonus, if you pay in credit card they charge a fee. By the way, the food wasn’t anything special. It was decent and I know take out doesn’t do it justice but still wasn’t anything I care to order again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Where to start??? I had reservations for a 7 top at 8:30 ( the latest reserve you can have). We expected that we would need to wait and wait we did. It was almost 9 before we were sat and probably 9:30 before we saw a server. Again, not a huge deal, we were one of the last tables sat. After we the server showed up, her service was amazing and the sushi was par for the course as far as a spicy tuna roll goes. After we had the salads, soups, and sushi we had to wait like another half an hour before the " head chef" would grace us with his presence. The "head chef" was considerably less than acceptable. There was no show, one of the biggest reasons to go to hibachi, and he didn't even have all of the proper proteins in place. We had a 4 top sat right after us and rather than knocking their food out then our food, he threw all of our food onto the grill and left it sitting there while he turned and cooked this other tables food. Needless to say, the rice was crunchy, the noodles were burnt to a crisp, the shrimp was so overcooked that it bounced on the plate, and the veggies and chicken were completely dry. We were more than willing to wait while he finished their food before cooking ours. I absolutely refused to pay almost $50 for burnt and inedible food. When I spoke to the manager about the experience he proceeded to tell me that he would refund the money for my food since I refused to eat it but he would only give the rest of the table 10% off due to their cost of the food. The rest of the table left probably 50% of their food on the table because they couldn't stomach. As we were discussing I disdain for this food, the " head chef" decided to speak up and start telling me that I had no right to say that the food was bad and if I felt this way then I need to tell the manager and that the manager would speak to him and that he is the head chef of the restaurant. So in conclusion, if you want overpriced burnt food and a " head chef" who is going to disrespect you because you have an opinion about his food, then come down to Sakura's, they've got...

My family and I went here to celebrate my daughters first birthday. If I could give zero stars I would. We were seated and a couple minute later 3 people— a mom and 2 teens sat down at the grill with us. The mom then proceeds to turn on a movie on her phone (Avatar) and turn it up full blast. We couldn’t even hear one another talk, her phone was so loud! We ignored it for a while, but finally I had enough. I asked the hostess to please have the server ask them to turn it down. Well the server came and went and said nothing. My daughter was getting antsy so I decided to get up and walk her around, but I was frustrated and said “can you turn your phone down please. Thanks.” And walked away. Yes, there was some attitude behind this, but honestly… have some common decency!! You are sharing not only a restaurant with others, but a table! The women responded and said “no” as in she won’t turn down her movie. That’s when I had some choice words with her. I told the server we were leaving and we left the restaurant and ordered pizza on the way home. My husband called the restaurant and asked to talk to the manager. The hostess answered and said “the manager isn’t here, but technically I’m the manager when she’s not here”. He tells her what happened and how the server did nothing about the loud movie playing. “Well I’m not actually the manager so….” Umm what? You just said you were acting manager. Anyway, her later response was that they are paying customers and there was nothing they can do. WHAT WERE WE??? We too were (going to be) paying costumers yet the staff did nothing to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. Since when is it okay for someone to watch a movie at a restaurant loud enough for the entire room to hear?! Shame on the staff at the restaurant for not having the decency to stick up for your actual...
