Spacious Bar next to a Holiday Inn Express. Wings were on special (Wednesdays) and were excellent quality and cooked perfectly. Coleslaw was great, so good that I took a second order of it back to my hotel room. I also got a Mountain Chili to go. It was thick with lots of beans, meat, and cheese. I added a sugar packet to sweeten it up a bit. The space was on the cold side, but there were lots of TVs and games to play. Darts, video slots, pool, etc. Service wise, they had one bartender trying to serve everyone. She did a good job of it, but it was busy and she was running every where. They really should have a couple more on the wait staff. The kitchen seemed well staffed as they delivered the food. I must say all the dishes looked good as they came out and I won’t hesitate to eat here again when staying at the Holiday Inn Express Greentree.

What’s for lunch? (Friday: January 12, 2021) 🍽 Chicken pesto Panini, french fries and a sprite! I also order a pulled chicken salad with chips (I didn’t take a picture of it though 🤷🏽‍♀️) This is one of my favorite lunch places. Great food, great people at a good price! This is my favorite chicken pesto panini sandwich. The pesto is creamy goodness. Their french fries are ridiculously good! The sandwich is very good & I don’t have any issues with the chicken. I hardly ever drink pop but every once in a blue moon I’ll have one. The pull chicken salad is very popular!!! I love it! 💕 I get chips to go with it since that’s how I had to to start & now it’s the only why that I like it! Their chips are like Burgatory’s but better. They are made fresh. You could also get it in sandwich form. Bon appétit 😋

This sucks because I used to go here every day. Spent probably 1000s over the course of my time working in green tree and the pandemic. Today I Ordered a buffalo chicken. Payed extra for the meal(which doesn’t include a drink) to upgrade to the poutine fries, and added a side of ranch. They didn’t put gravy on my fries, and they tried to not give me the ranch that came with the meal (that they reduced in size). This sucks. The quality has taken a hit. I just paid $16.50 and didn’t get what I ordered. I had to go back inside for the ranch. When I called. They didn’t offer a refund or anything to make it right. It just sucks. Good luck alcove. It’s a real bummer. I really miss what you were. Edit for the owner who replied: I wrote this review when I got home the day I ordered before I touched the food.

A Unique Burger Experience at The Alcove in Greentree, Pennsylvania

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Alcove in Greentree, Pennsylvania, and my experience left me with a mix of delight and a slight longing for more. Despite visiting during an off-peak period, between 2 pm and 4 pm, I was treated to a unique opportunity that made my visit truly memorable.

The ambiance of The Alcove is cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and tasteful decor that sets the stage for a comfortable dining experience. The staff, while minimal during the quiet hours, were attentive and friendly, adding a personal touch to the overall atmosphere.

What truly stood out for me was the chance to recreate an old burger that had once been a hit on the menu. The Alcove not only accommodated my request but also allowed me to step into the shoes of a chef, making the dining experience interactive and engaging. The attention to detail and willingness to accommodate personalized requests certainly elevated my visit.

While I didn't get the full spectrum of the restaurant's offerings due to the off-peak timing, the quality of the food I did experience was impressive. The burger I recreated was a nostalgic delight, showcasing the chef's commitment to preserving the essence of their culinary history.

The menu, although I only scratched the surface, appeared diverse and appealing, with a range of options for various tastes. I look forward to returning during peak hours to fully explore the extensive offerings and savor the full Alcove experience.

In summary, The Alcove in Greentree, Pennsylvania, offers a charming ambiance, friendly service, and a willingness to go the extra mile to make your dining experience special. My unique opportunity to recreate an old favorite added a personal touch that made this visit stand out. I recommend giving this hidden gem a try and suggest timing your visit during peak hours for the complete...

Happened by since we were staying at the Holiday Inn next door for a weekend getaway. The four of us went in for dinner and ended up staying for hours on Friday 09/09/2022. The mixed drinks are downright cheap and made well. There happened to be Karaoke that evening and typically not a fan of this at all, but they had some real talent show up. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and Amy our server was wonderful. The food was great and we also had a few appetizers. The bill for four of us was unbelievably inexpensive for what was consumed over a 6 hour period. We went to go back on Saturday evening , but the live music was so loud that we didn't even walk all the way in. Sorry, the band sounded fine, but people do like to still be able to talk amongst themselves without screaming into the ear of those they came with. If you like music so loud it thumps your chest, this is the place on a Saturday. If not, try another time than a Saturday night, as you will enjoy the food, the service, and the more than...

We tried this place for the first time today and when our order was delivered, ALL of our meals were missing. We attempted to call the restaurant and figure out the problem to which they were very rude and finally hung up on us. Nothing resolved!!! Refused to help us out and they blamed us for using doordash!! Absolutely ridiculous and I can't believe a restaurant doesn't take responsibility for wrong orders! We will NEVER give them our business in the future.

Addendum: First and foremost, I find your response to be very sad and completely pathetic coming from a business owner. You 100% did not talk about protocols of doordash. Shame on you for lying. Regardless of doordash or not, your restaurant forgot FOUR entire meals!!! So, NOT A DOORDASH PROBLEM, but an Alcove problem!! Based on your response and how you treat customers, I have 0 interest in returning to your establishment.

End...
