I am a Chipotle nut. I’m almost embarrassed by how much I spend on burritos and bowls in a year, that’s how often I go. I have been to Chipotle’s all over the East Coast, and this is hands down the most disgusting and disappointing location I’ve ever been.
I actually tossed half my bowl as I was afraid I might get food poisoning. There was food and trash all over the floor, both in the dining area and in the food prep area. There was not a single clean table in the restaurant, which suggests there wasn’t much cleaning going on in general.
The food itself was a mess, with basically the rice being the only decent thing in the bowl I received. I got there are about 8:45 on a Tuesday. They were nearly out of Pinto Beans and Barbacoa, and the carnitas were dry and overcooked like they’d been sitting.
They had no medium salsa or hot salsa, the fresh tomato’s were in a watery soup, and when I asked I was given a curt “we don’t got that” by the server. She then she proceeded to dump a half gallon of sour cream and what I’d describe as a fist full of cheese on my bowl. The guacamole did not look fresh, so I skipped too. The food prep counter was unlike anything I had seen, and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in some time.
After checking out, I went to get my drink and half the fountains were out of syrup. There was effectively a giant puddle on the floor with the mountain of ice that had piled up at the drink station. You can take a guess at the napkin and forks section, which was not much better than the tables, food prep areas, and floors.
It’s worth noting that there were quite a lot of staff working and chatting and carrying on, but the entire restaurant looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned for hours. It would be a different story if it was insanely busy, but there were maybe 5 people in the entire place ordering. I had a few bites of my bowl before I throw it out for 1) being unappetizing, and 2) the realization that I might get food poisoning.
I hope Chipotle corporate, or a Chipotle trainer, whips this spot into shape. I don’t even think I’ve written a review for Chipotle before, and this one was such a disaster I couldn’t help myself.
I’d seriously suggest maybe having a health inspector check out this spot as well. 0/5...
Read moreI came here on April 30th 2024 about 10:00 p.m.. This location has been open less than a month. After reading some of the reviews here I can see why the vibe was very slightly tense. I can also see it looked like they were trying to be focused and prepared. Like maybe they got a whole house reprimand for so many bad reviews. There was a guy walking around and a girl sitting eating on her break. The restaurant was a little busy. So I agree with the review by Alex that doesn't quite look good. There was a big line and it's a small store. According to the lady behind me, the Cochran Road location was closed for some reason. I hope everybody comes back and reviews this again after the staff has their bearings. They really could be ready at 2 weeks but sometimes it takes a while for a restaurant to keep good workers, replace bad ones, retrain the new ones etc etc. I didn't get a receipt. I didn't ask for one but I realized later I didn't have one. The cashier guy was focused and scanning the situations. Like I said it was a little tense but they were working well, paying attention to the food and keeping eyes up on customers. The place was clean. The service on the serving line was good. There was one kid working behind the line and he was young and you could tell he was trying to do a really good job and he did, despite the busyness and what was going on so close to closing. The food itself, close to closing, was very fresh. I've had less than stellar experiences more often than not at a few Chipotles. This was by far the best quality bowl. The lettuce was really fresh and it was the best freshly prepared fajita mix ever. I was going to order a salad, but I peeked over and noticed that there was not enough lettuce whatsoever for a salad and what was left didn't look the best shape, so I just went for the bowl, and got the shredded lettuce for the topping (there was alot of that ready). I had a veggie burrito bowl so I didn't get ingredients like meat, but what I had was good and I'll definitely be back. But I will definitely never return to the Washington Road Bethel Park slopfest (the entire Bethel Park order had to be thrown in the trash). Overall, this Green Tree Road experience was...
Read moreThis was the worst chipotle experience I've ever had, and probably the worst dining experience I've had. The line was extremely long for 8pm at night about 20mins, when I got to order I was told they were out of all meats expect steak and Barbosa and it would be another 20 min wait, I wanted chicken but just got the steak, I was then told they were out of corn which turned out to be untrue as another worker brought out more corn as my burrito was being made. The customer behind me asked for onions/peppers and was told no, she said I see them cooking I can wait, she was told those were for paying customers???? (They meant mobile orders) still ridiculous service and rude. I ordered chips and queso with my burrito and the cashier never put chips in my bag I had to remind him and then I ended up getting the wrong size anyway. Lastly I inserted my card and the cashier asked if I wanted a receipt, I said yes it printed and he said have a good night, I left the store and was chased down by an employee yelling at me saying I didn't pay, I said but I have a receipt and they said that doesn't matter come back in and pay. I came back in to another employee yelling at me that I didn't pay and I explained that the cashier said have a nice night and gave me a reciept, how was I to know the payment didn't process because the cashier hit a wrong button, I didn't cause any issues and re swipped my card and when payment process I didn't receive a thank you or sorry for the inconvenience. This was the worst experience I have ever had at...
