We decided to give Panchos a try as we were in the area and remembered having good experiences in years past. Such a disappointment now. Atmosphere is pleasing, and the whole bar area has been opened with more of a "cantina" feel--not a bad start. From there it was downhill as our server was barely present throughout the meal. It wasn't too busy, although she may have had an outdoor table to cover. Long waits for every request...taking the drink order, bring drinks out to the table, taking our food order, etc. We only had a refill of iced tea because the runner who brought our food asked if she could bring anything else. Our waitress did notice that our refills could've used ice (brewed iced tea a plus), but we only saw the ice at the end of our meal as an afterthought. She wasn't attentive to our table, and we had to initiate any request to keep her moving. To be fair, we did see other wait staff stepping up to serve their tables--our waitress just didn't seem to be interested. Food could've been decent, but as hubby ordered fajitas, it seemed every other component waited somewhere to "chill" while they were prepared. Only his fajitas came out hot--everything else was tepid at best. I tried the Chicken Suiza, which showed promise, but the congealed cheese left it a better choice for leftovers to heat up tomorrow. Beans and rice on both plates were outright cold. Not much flavor on those at all. We were really hopeful to try a "new" old favorite, but don't see...
Read moreI was born and raised around here & just came back in town for a visit and hadn’t been here in years, so we were excited, but It was beyond our expectations!! My parents got the pick two items and they said their selections were really good! My husband got the Chimichanga with two sauces && they were both delicious! Their queso was addicting! Their chips were fantastic with some seasonings on them & their salsa was flavorful! But my faaaavorite was my burger!!! I got the nacho burger and ohh my goodness! It was one of my favorite burgers ever!! Beware though, the amazingly flavorful chipotle salsa is rather spicy && I love me some spice! Maybe get it on the side, so you can control how much you use because it was incredibly smoke flavorful deliciousness, so don’t skip it!!! And their fries were some of my favorites ever too! They’re like those delicious skinny fries they have at the fairs! Yum! Our server so super sweet and attentive! We appreciated her! The food took a little bit (reasonable amount) of time, which we liked because we got to hang out, socialize and enjoy the delicious chips, salsa & cheese! Anyways, we had a wonderful family dinner here and everything was fantastic! This will now be forever on our to do list when I am in town 😊 Thank you!! (Sorry was too excited to take any...
Read moreFood: Tortilla chips have some hot smoked paprika on them, unique. Guacamole is homemade. I had the one with fresh pineapple, just the right amount of sweetness added. Best tamale's I have ever had. Even if you are not a fan of tamales in general, try them here, you will not be disappointed. Make sure to go for the lobster tamale. The seafood enchilada was creamy and flavorful. The pork is very tender and has the right amount of fat to carry some great flavor. Chille Relleno is almost like a large jalapeno popper, very unique and flavorful twist on a classic. Flan is great, not overly jello'y, very creamy and delicious. Everything was fresh and well prepared.
Service: Angie is one of the hardest working and most knowledgeable servers I have ever seen. She was training a new girl, very sweet, and running her butt off back and forth to the kitchen. She runs the show here. Other waitresses were also very nice and seemed like hard workers.
Atmosphere: Think back to the days when your favorite chain Mexican restaurant existed, except this is not a chain, and has much better food. There is tex mex themed decor everywhere. Low lighting and many corners make for a private dining experience despite...
