I love this place! A great selection of food. You'll find new offerings all the time. Their ALDI's Finds are addictive and good quality. If it's an ALDI'S brand my family loves it 90% of the time. Produce is beautiful most of the time. No one is perfect and they consistently beat the larger stores like Acme and Giant Eagle. My husband hates shopping there because you bag everything yourself. But, for the prices, variety and quality food, bagging is a small price to pay. Plus, I'm a picky packer and it drives me crazy when teenagers, which is most cashiers, aren't taught the basics of packing. You do NOT put cans, bananas or anything of weight with bread or produce. Packaging cold things with cold things keeps them cold longer (needed in summer heat) and you don't have to dig around to get them in the fridge/freezer. If you need 2 bags to hold 2 gallons of milk, just divide them between 2 bags so it's not so heavy. That's what I learned when I was a cashier and think it's all pretty darn smart. When you aren't using the food you buy is a hard concept I guess. HOWEVER ALDI'S cashiers ARE taught and I have yet to have an experience where things were put things haphazardly. It's very easy to pack. Also they are taught for speed, according to one cashier they have to be quick or they'll be corrected. It must not be a scolding since they are friendly....
Read moreThis Aldi's is always busy and USUALLY only has 1 person on register. The line can sometimes be long. The ad of the week item I went there for, as is the case more than not, was sold out. There are a lot of times they don't carry the same item more than once. It's a very inconsistent system. So, if you like shopping at Aldi's continue. If you want to get an item that was in the weekly ad go the first day and be there early. It's just not my preferred place to shop. Item prices are about the same as other stores "own brands." If you go there expecting them to carry Vegeterian Tuscany burger patties always well, you may be disappointed. You do have to wear a mask clean your own cart with your own stuff (the times I've been). Expect to pay about the same prices as the other groceries off brands, limited supplies on some items etc. The store is very clean at this location. Don't forget your own bags as you need them and the ability to package your own groceries. They do carry some name brands in all things but the cleaning supplies were not well known to me. Enjoy your trip. Pick up a next week's sale paper on the way out if...
Read moreI love Aldi but this place is being poorly managed. They will have staff all over the store standing around talking with one cashier whose line is past the freezer entrance, while she has to leave every 30 seconds, to fix somebody's self checkout. We do not all want to use self checkout. I've waited outside for pickup 30 minutes on occasion, walked inside to find three of their employees standing by the bathrooms talking. Tonight their credit card machine stopped working right as I checked out, it took them 10 minutes to get it fixed during which she said I could move to another line if I wanted, but they got it fixed, I had to rescan everything though and was offered no assistance even though I made it clear I didn't want to do the self-checkout in the first place. A manager was handling the whole situation. She could have helped me or had somebody help me. I will not be going back to this Aldi for two years and every person I know will hear of how incredibly frustrated I am with my experiences here. I represent around $10,000 a year in grocery purchases at this location...
