Carvel — Restaurant in Greenacres

Bought two cakes from this carvel this weekend. One cake was preorder For a party on Saturday (this cake turned out well) the second cake I walked in on Sunday and bought from the freezer. Served the cake that night for party number two. The crunchies were soft, the icing was gritty and the ice cream was sour. EVERY SINGLE PERSON threw the cake out. I called and asked if they could refund or replace for this week since the same group of people from Sunday’s party would be together again on Wednesday. For two days I was told that the manager would call us back and she never did. Now we missed the chance of having a cake for that same group of people again. We will NEVER return to this store. The manager cares more about her money than doing the right thing and HER CAKE WAS BAD. I have my receipt and half a bad cake to return to her and she doesn’t even have the decency to return a call. Love ice cream, love carvel cakes, went to this Greenacres location, was not really impressed. We came in for a fun dessert treat. We asked for all the flavors we thought sounded good, but they were out of a lot of flavors. I think they had only 5 flavors. The rest of the fun flavors were out. All the pops looked like they were freezer-burned. And the soft serve orange was awful. Sorry it wasn't a better review. We came in excited for delicious flavors and left unsatisfied. 2 stars for the lovely girl helping us and gave us a perfect tour of the flavors and suggested flavors.

Scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip - kids loved it New Orange Cicle Waffle cone - gross texture. Felt like whipped cream. We threw it out and wasted $6 :( Side of mini Gummy bears - delicious

I've visited here on a few occasions and it's probably my last. The cakes are expensive as is and to not be of quality is disappointing. I don't mind spending on it if the quality is what you expect of Carvel. Their cakes are known for the perfection of equal parts of vanilla and chocolate with the perfect center filled with crunchies. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. A huge amount of chocolate and a little vanilla on top. My husband isn't a chocolate ice cream kinda guy and it was for him because despite his flavor palet for chocolate, Carvel's ice cream cakes are his exceptions to the rule.
