On June (25th 2020), I went to the store to buy a dermel for my work in the dog grooming field. When I walked in a lady who looked like a manager (Blond headed, a little on the heavy side and about 5â 6) told me in a rude tone that the store would be closing soon. I said ok. It took me 5 minutes to find what I was looking for, check out and leave.
Today ( July 3rd 2020) I went back to the store with the same dermel I bought. I was greeted by a very nice woman (long brown hair, and tattoos). Told her I was wanting to exchange the dermel because it had over heated while sitting on the charger and is now not working. The very nice woman asked me to go get the same one from the shelf and she would help with the exchange. Before I turned to do just that the same rude lady started yelling at the front girl while holding up a product. Upon my return to the front desk the rude woman, was plugging in the old dermel in. The nice woman said she was just checking it out to make sure it would not work. The rude woman approached the counter and very very rudely started grilling me on what I use the dermel for. I informed the rude woman that I do dog grooming. She continued to grill me on it can not be in continued use for more then a minute. I informed her that I normally donât run it very long and when it broke down it in fact had not been in use and was sitting on the charger. When I picked it up to use it, it was very hot at the base and would not start. She continued to be rude to me while she tore open the new package and picked out what she felt was the only parts I was ALLOWED to have in exchange. She also made me feel I was stupid and Incapable of properly handling the dermel. I informed her may last one lasted me 3 years. The very nice lady who was helping from the started FELT she HAD to APOLOGIZE for this MANAGERS rude and inconsiderate behavior. The rude woman handed me my new dermel in a plastic bag. Keeping the box for the return.
I was so flustered I left not realizing she also had not given me the piece I needed to dermel the nails. Which I returned after work brought the remaining parts and asked for the piece the rude manager failed to give me. The nice woman apologized again...
This woman should not be the manager there. She is rude, inconsiderate and seems to hate her job. With the way she treated me I could see her costing this place business and...
   Read moreAwful ! Horrible ! Vile ! I made two trips to this store for the basic task of ordering a replacement toilet seat. After the first trip, they left a VM that they had the info ready and I just needed to confirm the color and pay. When I arrived at the store for the second time, the salesperson had no idea what I was talking about He spent 20 minutes on the internet and phone trying to figure out how to order a toilet seat. I found it myself online and he quoted me a price that was double the retail price. Then he called another sales person for assistance and I had to waste more time repeating what I needed. Unbelivably, this guy's response was to shrug his shoulders at me ! I try to support small businesses and this was an absurdly simple task. I was very patient with these clearly incompetent salesmen AND I went out of my way to visit this store twice to do business with them. But after this horrible experience, ACE Hardware is off my list. Not only did I order this seat from a different source, I will be contacting ACE corporate headquarters. Just over a week ago on a Sunday, we got to the store about an hour after closing and Dave the Manager was just locking the front door, as he was leaving. When Dave saw us approaching, he said "Hi" with a smile on his face and said "what do you need" as he started to unlock the door for us to help us out. With Dave's help, we quickly found what we needed and we were on our way back home to complete our Sunday project!
Now that's what I call excellent customer service with a smile, and this experience is what motivated me to write this review on google.
