I wish to inform you of the encounter I had on yesterday evening, Saturday November 12th, 2022 with the Managing Partner Rosa David at your 5220 S. 76th St. Greendale, WI location. My family and myself come to your establishment quite often to celebrate special occasions. Usually, we have a great experience with good food and customer service. Unfortunately, what should have been another wonderful experience with this establishment was sabotaged by YOUR Managing Partner Rosa David. We called ahead of time to make sure that our party of 12 would have proper seating accommodations and was told that was not going to be an issue. We arrived at 6:50pm and waited 2hrs to be seated. To our surprise we were not seated as a party of 12, but as 2 parties of 5 to one table and 6 to another. When expressing our concerns to Rosa and asking if we could push the 2 tables together so we could sit as a family we were immediately greeted with a very sour disdain. Rosa was extremely dismissive, rude and very unapologetic. From there the night completely went downhill. It took over 30 minutes just to get drinks, an hour to get food, which some food items were sent back due to being over cooked, I didn’t even receive the sides to my meal until everyone at the table had received all of their food and some of our food didn’t even come out until we were asking for the bill. After dinner we tried to speak to YOUR managing partner Rosa David again to express all of our concerns and give her feedback on our experience. She was extremely dismissive about our concerns and not once did she try to be accommodating. Her demeanor was very much telling us that we were bothering her and that we could pretty much F* off. Not only did she speak to us in a “it is what it is” tone, as we were talking to her, she completely turned her back to us and started walking away as if she had heard enough and as far as she was concerned the conversation was over. I have never felt so disrespected and disregarded in my life. Rosa didn’t even offer as much as an apology for her conduct or the way she spoke to us. Instead, she stated that the service she gave us was her best service (these are words directly from her mouth). My family drove over 45 minutes to eat at your establishment, waited 2hrs to be seated and another hour to receive our food to have the worse experience in my history of eating at longhorn, when all we came to do was celebrate the lives of those, we love to be greeted with such a horrible experience. Two of my siblings, one of which we were celebrating and myself have worked in the customer service industry for over 25yrs, (2 of us in managerial roles) and I have never experienced anything like this. It is very safe to say that my family, friends and myself will not be stepping foot in another Longhorn establishment. Also, I want to make you aware that we all work for very prominent companies in the City of Milwaukee and Racine and we will be sharing our experience with not only our other family members, but also with our colleagues and our social media outlets. I feel bad for the people that work under Rosa, because if Rosa David is the Manger you have placed in position to be an example of leadership and good customer service then you will be expecting a lot more complaints and loosing a lot more customers going forward. I am extremely disappointed that what should have been a very special occasion and celebration was ruined due to the incompetency of Rosa, when a simple apology and acknowledgement of our feelings and an attempt to try to make things better would have been all it took to make this a better experience for my family of 11 and myself. Therefore, we will not be returning to Longhorn on 76th St in Greendale WI. Seems to me that Rosa needs a refresher course in what being a person in leadership is and what qualities and skills are needed to provide a good customer service experience to customers who come to spend their hard-earned money with your establishment so you don't continue to loose more of your...
Read moreWe've been coming here on & off since it opened because there are certain menu items I loved. At our first visit, the food was spectacular but the service was SUPER terrible. But the perfectly cooked delicious steak, yummy fresh bread, white cheddar stuffed mushrooms & chocolate stampede were enough to lure me back for another try. While the food was amazing, the service was still so bad that my husband refused to return.
As the years went by, I convinced hubby to go back for my birthday dinners, & the service had really improved but the food started to suffer. The last few times we had dinner there, I was disappointed in the food & it seemed as if the service was starting to fall off again. I ultimately gave up & stopped having my birthday dinners at Longhorn until this year, when I got my husband to reluctantly agree to try one last time.
A couple weeks ago, we get there & see a nearly empty restaurant except for the few people waiting to be seated & some patrons sitting at the bar, maybe a couple tables. We were informed there would be a wait for a table because they were still waiting for servers to arrive! Staff shortages today. SMH.vWe are 2nd in line to check in & a few other couples check in minutes after we do. About 15 mins later, they call the 1st couple for a table. Then they gave the next table to a couple who checked in AFTER us! Irritating. We did get the next table a few mins later.
Let me stress that our waitress was amazing! Super friendly, fast, very on top of things. Checked on us enough & never forgot anything! Super impressed & probably some of the best service we've had there.
Sadly, the food was just not what it used to be. The bread was still delicious, altho they no longer serve flavored butter. The stuffed mushrooms were good, but it seemed like something was different. Just seemed off. My french onion soup was good. But my husband's salmon was overcooked and he wasn't a huge fan of his sides.
The biggest disappointment was that I ordered my Outlaw Ribeye steak medium rare, but it was so RAW that I couldn't eat any of it. I just packed it up to finish cooking it at home. I'd rather have it be too rare than overcooked, of course, since it's easy to fix, but when you're paying $30 for a steak, it should be made correctly the first time. If I hadn't had other food to fill up on, I would've had to send my steak back to cook a bit more because it was just too raw to eat. This was super disappointing because the steak is what brought me back for my birthday & I looked forward to it all year!
As an added note, as weird as this sounds to complain about, it was also a bit annoying how fast our food came out. We ordered 3 courses: soup / salad, appetizers and entrees, & ALL the courses were served only minutes apart. We had JUST begun eating our soup & salad when the appetizers came, & our entrees arrived less than 5 minutes after that. I was still working on my SOUP! I have never had all 3 courses served in less than like 8 minutes & it just felt very rushed. I suppose it worked out pretty well since I couldn't eat my steak anyway, & it was sort of cool that we had this huge smorgasbord of food to eat all at the same time. Still kind of strange though & not very relaxing.
Between the overcooked salmon & raw steak, it was easy to see the chef has changed from years past, & not for the better. You can't charge steakhouse prices with a chef who can't properly cook meat. Since the reason I kept giving Longhorn another try was the amazing food, this really was the nail in the coffin for me. I don't see any point going back. I've given them enough tries & when the food isn't worth it anymore, I quit.
Honestly, I won't be surprised if I end up hearing that this place closes down. The restaurant clearly has major staffing issues. I can't imagine how they could be making any profit when like 80% of their tables have to stay empty due to lack of servers. Combined with the lesser quality food & chef mistakes, I just don't see this place lasting much longer. And that makes me...

I gave this place multiple tries and I am so disappointed and dissatisfied.
I went to my first longhorn in another state and it was amazing! Fast. Fresh. Delicious. Friendly staff.
I found out we had one in greenfield! Awesome! So I took my family there. Long wait, servers took forever but the food was good and the atmosphere was popping with the dinner rush happening.
So last year for my birthday I wanted to have the extended family dinner there. I called in advanced and was told no call ahead reservations. I asked if they could accommodate the 12 people. I was told yes but they wouldn’t sit us until everyone was there… ok so I get there early and tell them there are a total of 12 people that will be here soon and it’s for a birthday dinner. I was told then, as everyone was already heading towards the restaurant in rush hour traffic, that the restaurant could not sit 12 people together. We could eat here but would not be sat together let alone they couldn’t guarantee that we would be in the same general area. In other words? You cannot accommodate a group of 12 people. So we moved the party elsewhere after great disappointment.
I then gave it another shot for a work lunch. Suggested it for our place to eat. Volunteered to pick it up. Got there and waited for 20 min maybe for them to bring the food out. Granted it was for 5 people so ok, but still a little long of a wait if you ask me. Food was not that great (cold by the time we got it and the office is 5 min from the restaurant). Overall experience that time was neutral at best.
But this last time takes the cake. If you have stayed with me this long. Thanks!
I ordered a pick up today for 11:10. Got there and did the check in and waited for 10-15 min before going in. I asked the hostess about pick up and she directed me to the bar. There I stood for another 10 min not even being seen or acknowledged by anyone. Then a woman comes out with some food in her hands and at least sees me and says she will be right there. Went back into the kitchen and then comes out another minute later with a bag of food in her hand (presumably my food since my car side checked in 20-25 min ago). She asks me what she can do for me, I said I’m picking up my carside order. She says name? I said Cassie. Now here’s where I gotta ask ya’ll…is anyone out there not aware that Cassie is the shortened version of Casandra? I guess she isn’t aware of that cause she looks me dead in the face and says I have a Casandra. I said yes. Cassie is short for Casandra. This woman looks at me again and says, while holding back laughter, how would I know that? Come on people… so clearly you knew that was my order and you can see I’m upset but you’re gonna give me this much attitude when I’m supporting your job by ordering food here??
I used to work in food service. So I know this won’t keep everyone from going and me not going there isn’t going to put them out of business. But is this where you really wanna spend your hard earned money? Waiting for a nasty server to ignore you your whole meal and go hungry waiting for your food that comes out cold?
Never apologized for the wait.
Gave me an immense amount of attitude about my name.
Audibly laughed at me?!
What should have taken me 10 minutes tops took me over 40 round trip.
No thanks, Longhorn. I’ll try my hand at recreating the parmesan crust at home.
Sorry to anyone who goes there thinking their meal will be done in a timely manner. Expect to spend 2 hours plus for a regular dinner meal and 1 hour plus for the not as busy lunch hour.
1/10 would...
