If I was able to give zero stars I would. This goes on the list of top three worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We were seated upstairs in the back and it seemed like the waitress, Desi, just forgot about us most of the time. We got our drinks after the appetizers, which arrived pretty quickly. Had to wait a solid 30 minutes for initial waters, and another 45 for refills. When the waters finally came 30 min later, our dinner orders were taken. About 30-45 minutes later our dinner arrived. We had two Philly cheesesteaks, two burgers, and a chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich had a burnt bun, neither of the cheesesteaks had onions, and one of the cheesesteaks had a blond hair. The person eating the sandwich was a brunette. All of the food was lukewarm at best. We waited for the waitress to come back so we could send the chicken and cheesesteak back to be remade and she did not come back. So we walked the sandwiches downstairs and told someone what happened. They offered Mac and cheese? Under the assumption that they would be remade, or at least the waitress would be told, since she was MIA, we went back up to wait for the new dishes. The new dishes never arrived and when the waitress finally came back up, we told her what happened and that those of us who got food would like our checks and to speak with the manager. The manager, red hair and beard, then slowly walked over to us with an electronic device in his face, stood at the table for about 30 sec before actually muttering a word, and when I said “hello” he said “I’m putting in some discounts on your appetizers.” He never introduced himself or cared to hear what was going on. When we told him what happened his response was, “well you never said you wanted the sandwiches remade.” Excuse me? The overall attitude of the staff here is astounding. It’s so sad that Tyner Pond Farms has such rude unapologetic people working for them. Two of our party left without dinner and the other two of us had an uncomfortable experience because of the way that the situation was mishandled. The staff at Griggsby Station should take notes from the staff at the Mug in Irvington because they actually know how to respect...
Read moreIf I could leave zero stars I would... first off we called on a Saturday after around 2pm and made reservations for 730pm that evening and told Sam when we called we would be ordering 4-6 ribeyes Sam said okay that’s fine... well That being said we ordered those said ribeyes and were told 30 minutes after we ordered that they had ran out and that they had 26 on hand for Friday and Saturday and didn’t even get a “sorry”. We feel that since we specified when calling and making the reservations and told the manager Sam when we called he should of reserved some for us. We had a party of 9. How Sam handled it was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. It was like Sam being the manager didn’t care that we were so disappointed. So we ordered the New York strips instead of the ribeyes and they were extremely tough and no one finished their steak. We were here for a birthday dinner and all left extremely disappointed. The service was also not great because the server would leave and she wouldn’t come back for 20-30 minutes at a time. We had to go get our checks because we wanted to leave and she was taking so long. The whole experience was not worth the money. ** however sam did take half off each steak which he should of compted the steaks due to how bad they were cooked, he was also rude about it when doing so as if it inconvenienced him. Overall I will make sure to tell people about our experience and how we were treated and how they could go to Ruth Chris or another upscale restaurant and get good food AND service and if there was an issue it would be handled appropriately. Do not waste your time and money here and if something is wrong they...
Read moreAs I write this review, I am sitting in the shade, on the patio and I'm excited to see business people having a work dinner in Greenfield. A sight I'd never thought I'd see.
Griggsby's gets better and better. They've been listening to their customers requests. The menu has evolved into something for all and not a specific agenda. The food has came out seasoned and cooked perfect every time I've been here.
I've seen many complain about prices. The prices are very similar to those you would pay in other donut counties. Let's not forget this is farm to table folks. If you're an avid craft beer drinker, all meals can be paired with the cheapest prices on draft craft beer in town. So it actually offsets the cost of entree's.
If you live in or near Greenfield or if you're driving through. Stop in, grab some great dishes from this farm to table...
