I recently had the experience of using this wedding caterer for my special day, and I must say, my overall impression was quite mixed.
When we initially signed up for their services, they had a dedicated coordinator who made the whole process seem seamless and promising. However, our experience took a nosedive when this coordinator left the company. The ensuing communication with the caterer became nearly impossible, as we made several calls without receiving any response. This lack of responsiveness was a major source of frustration leading up to the wedding.
One of the few bright spots in our experience was the tasting session held at the caterer's location. During these tastings, we were pleased with the food and the engagement of the owner, Frank. He seemed genuinely invested in ensuring our satisfaction, and the food tasted great during these sessions.
However, when it came to the actual event, there were notable shortcomings. On the positive side, the service provided by the staff was decent, and the food setup was satisfactory. The appetizers, in particular, received high praise from both our guests and us. They were undoubtedly a highlight of the evening.
Unfortunately, the main course left much to be desired. To put it bluntly, it felt like we were catfished. The parmesan chicken dish, which had shown such promise at the tastings, turned out to be disappointingly tasteless. The pork was even worse, as it was inedible according to some of our guests. Most concerning of all, the vegan meals, which we specifically requested, were not even vegan. They included mac and cheese and were possibly cooked in butter. This oversight was not only a letdown but also an inconvenience for our vegan guests.
What further exacerbated our disappointment was the lack of communication after the event. We brought our concerns to the on-site staff, but there was no follow-up or effort to rectify the situation. This lack of accountability was disappointing, especially considering the substantial cost of approximately $10,000 for 126 people.
In conclusion, while there were positive aspects to our experience with this caterer, such as the initial tastings and appetizers, the significant shortcomings in communication and the quality of the main courses leave me hesitant to recommend them for a large event. The fact that our concerns went unaddressed after the wedding only adds to our disappointment. If you're considering using this caterer, I would advise proceeding with caution and ensuring that you have a clear communication...
Read moreThis place might have a couple good deals and food is decent. But the manager/owner Frank is extremely racist. I am an african American, and I was referred by my Caucasian friend who worked there for about a year. I got hired by a great manager named David. He was very nice and kind. But back to the racist guy named Frank. I was getting trained by a server named Robin. I was literally doing most of the work because I have lots of experience in serving. I was doing so good that 3 of her tables passed me money under the table and said "here this is for you, not her." But since they were paying me 8 dollars an hour and I'm a good person I have all the money to her. So as I'm taking care of the tables and bringing them boxes I felt him starring at me in a mean way literally the who day. Then he finally came up to me and said" hey this isn't gonna work" he didn't even give me a reason. Then late that day my friend told me that the other black guy only lasted 2 days. And there were literally no black workers besides myself that day. Some people there are genuinely nice people. But I believe Rob is truly racist, mean, and inconsiderate because he could not even give me a reason. When I asked why he said "just clock out and go home". Leaving me embarrassed and confused on what I did wrong as a server and as an employee. Frank does not want African Americans anywhere near his establishment for no reason what so ever. There's no reason or explanation that can justify the way I was wrongly fired and treated at this place. I really liked everyone and everything else at this place besides the fact that servers( when making salads and bread) and cooks(when cooking /after eating) don't wear gloves at all which is not right for elderly people to get treated that way as well. I wish the place the best of luck and I hope they enforce cleaner cooking rules and a more diverse staff and...
Read moreFinally... PERCH. YEAH!
No perch again... The waitress said, "we always run out of search, it goes fast. ." Then maybe they should order more f-ing perch!!! The waitress suggested the beer battered cod. When that came the batter coating was soggy, greasy and disgusting! I ate 3 bites and had to stop. She said could get me something else like the baked cod, but would have to charge me $2.35 per piece... she didn't ask a manager to talk to me and didn't take it off my bill. I wanted to ask for a manager but my wife asked me not to male a big deal out of it, so I left without eating.
After I got home I called and talked to the manager Frank who tried to appease me with a $10 credit which didn't even cover the cost of the meal I never got to eat. He said the waitress needs some "retraining" which I take as getting yelled at for telling me they always run out of pearch fast. Frank asked me to remove the above from the review which I said I woul not as it was truthful. I said I don't want the $10 credit, I would like him to fix problem and that I probably would be back to his restaurant anyway. He then just hung up on me... Nice!
The problem here isn't the waitress, the problem is the management. Why, Frank, aren't you walking around the restaurant checking on YOUR guests??? I shouldn't have to ask for you when your watress lnows theres obviously a problem. She didn't come ask you because she doesn't feel safe yelling you theres a problem. Don't blame your staff for YOUR ineptness!... oh yeah don't forget to order more perch for...
