We entered at before 4 pm with friends (6) and just stood there while 3 ladies didnt even say welcome or hello. They were all looking at some floor layout. After over a minute, someone asked if I had been helped. The first thing she states is we are short staffed and it will be over 30 minutes to be seated. Asked the friends and they said yes, we will get something from the bar. BIG mistake. 3 people working behind the bar and I stood there for over 8 minutes and I was the only one at the bar beside another couple that were waiting for food. OMG, no one helped me. I was OK, I need to say something, he hands me a menu. We know what we want but no one comes back. One lady was just standing there, she was new and did not no anything, another one was filling some beers and counting money in front of customers. And another guy making some drinks for the waitresses, who looked already stressed out. We did not even get our drinks and our table was ready. 32 minutes for cocktails of 3 beers, bottle of wine and a diet pepsi. Yep 32 minutes. Now seated and ordered appetizers and our meal. It took almost 25 minutes to get Mozzarella and Calamari. Calamari was so rubbery it was like chewing on a sole of a shoe. Now we did complain about that and it took only 5 minutes for a new order to appear and way better. Our soup and salad come and asked for pepper and salt, never got it and we asked for no dressing on the salad and put it on the side. Never got the dressing till we were almost done with the soup. It took over an hour to get our food. People that came after us were getting there food before us. I guess we should not have complained, they make you wait. Then we finally received our food. Out of 6 people two were not hot, but just warm. One of the shrimp scampi was too rubbery and one of the chicken parma was so burnt on one side, it was unedible. We came early because we did not want this to happen of being overwhelmed with customers and worried about short staffed. We got there at about 3:50 and we finally finished at 6:30. Over 2-1/2 hours at Olive Garden. We love Olive Garden, but the last few time we have been there, we have not been happy with the wait times and the short staff of people. If your staff cannot handle everyone that comes through that door in a timely manner, you need to close off a section of the restuarant. Your workers do not need to be penalized by overworking them. We could not penalize our waitress because she was so stretched thin with customers, because she decided to show up for work but someone chose not to. But yet, we are the customers, that deserve to be treated in a timely manner also. We were out for a birthday celebration and we were not really pressed for time, but we will be rethinking our visits to Olive Garden...
Read moreMost occasions I love eating here but yesterday was the worse dining experience of my life. I gave it 2 stars only because the manager corrected the situation. Our server was Veeda. She brought our drinks & when we needed more time to decide it went bad. 12 minutes later she came back to take our order. By then our drinks were gone so all we had were dirty dishes to look at while we waited. We didn't receive or drinks refills the bread, soups or salad until she served the appetizers (another 10 minutes) My daughter had a hair in her soup but she never came back to check after she left the table. She was not serving other tables at this time, she was completely MIA. Another sever brought our food (we all ordered all you can eat entree's) and that was the last time we saw a server. Once I noticed she was watching the football game in the bar area I was done. I can understand someone being busy or weeded but that was unacceptable. No refills on drinks, the pasta, soups, salad or bread sticks at all. We never saw her after she served the appetizers until I went to bar looking for help & saw her sitting there. I asked the servers at the take out area to send her to our table but never came. I finally chased down the manager & we received service. Unfortunately we had to take our refills to go since we had already been there for almost a hour & a half. Never received my birthday dessert & by that time I didn't want it. Definitely won't be in any hurry to return after that night. Servers should not be allowed to watch sporting events or any TV if it takes away from service. She purposely...
Read moreI now remember why I don’t go to olive gardens anymore. Our server was very flustered and did not want to be there, when we got our drinks we expected them to be made the way their supposed to be with the regular amount of alcohol and flavor but our waitress took it as us wanting to get drunk, that was not the case. If I’m paying for a drink I expect it to be made the right way, her comment to us was “well you don’t come here to get drunk you come here do have dinner” and she rolled her eyes and gave us a nasty look then proceeded to explain that Olive Garden doesn’t serve you bottomless drinks they have a limit on alcohol consumption. It was very unprofessional, but I guess she was not only unprofessional with us but her coworkers as well, she brought out our food and as we were eating a different server comes up to us with the same food we were eating, ready to give it to us and we were just looking at him like “uh we already have the food”❓and his reaction was “oh I’m so sorry, it seems that your server did not communicate with her staff about your orders which is causing this to happen” he looked genuinely upset and overwhelmed by her blatant disregard. He also made a comment that this was not the first time she had done something like this. To the manager: I suggest you ask your employees if any improvements can be made with communication between servers and other staff. Then you can weed out the bad ones and keep your business professional. This girl who served us needs to be written up. The food was so bad ! Except the breadsticks because who can...
