I was driving down 76th st after a trip to the mall and noticed that I had a flat tire. I parked in the nearest parking lot, which happened to be the lot for Vitamin Shoppe. I didn't have a spare so I called a friend for a hand. He came shortly thereafter with a temporary fix kit and a rechargeable air compressor. We made the repair and got the tire about a quarter full before the compressor died. I needed somewhere to plug it in, even for just ten minutes. I went into the store, the little bell rang to announce someone had entered or exited and I approached the counter. Of the three people working, no one acknowledged me. After a short time the man on the sales floor asked if I needed help, this must have alerted the man behind the counter because he and the other employee across the counter from him finally decided to pause their conversation. I told the man on the floor the situation and asked to plug in my compressor for a few minutes. He said, "sure", and seemed to be looking for an outlet when suddenly the counter man said, "no", without making eye contact at any point. No one offered me a reason, no one said "customers only" (I would have bought something). Just, "no". I'm not going to go off on a rant about customer service, as I never intended to even enter the store, if not for my unfortunate situation. I will however say that basic human kindness was not at all present in the first person one encounters upon entering your business. What followed was a little trouble shooting by us to go to Best Buy and purchase a converter for the car cigarette lighter, which turned out to not have enough power. Then a trip to Walmart to get a can of fix-o-flat. We got it handled. But one simple act of basic humanity for someone in a difficult situation by your staff would have been at least a glimmer of righteousness in an obviously unideal predicament. Thank you for nothing. Please train your people in the basics of human interaction. To think that that guy behind the counter was in charge enough to override someone else showing basic kindness says a lot about your...
Read moreThis place isdisgusting. To start off the service here was terrible. The two guys standing at the counter were too busy playing around on the computer and their phones to pay attention to us. When we asked them for a product we were looking for all we kept getting from them was a shrug and an " uh idk". Absolutely horrid. As if that wasn't enough, while looking at their products, some of their items were opened and crusty on the inside, others were super dusty like they haven't been touched in ages...on top of being EXPIRED. No wonder there are barely any customers in this store....
Read moreThey are so friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a product online and was able to return it at the store, hassle free. Every time I visit the store, an employee will ask if I need help, take me to the products and explain what may help and why. If you are looking for treating a rare ailment or you want a specific ingredient (as I did) do a little research before you visit. They have spotty internet service and can't always research efficiently while you wait. They also don't carry everything you may need but I ordered online and $50 or...
