Boots and Bourbon — Restaurant in Greensboro

Tonight was the grande opening. I've seen from previous reviews that they've been open for close to 3+ weeks prior.

I arrived earlier than my friends 7:05pm. I ordered a coke no ice. I received my drink over ten minutes later, but heavily iced. (No it was not slammed busy the whole time I/we were there). My friends arrived at 7:22 and ordered a iced tea. That drink was quick. Upon the drinks arrival 2 orders were placed for tacos (again, still not that busy). The waitress frequented the table a few times to assure she was checking on the 2 taco dinners. Right at a 40 minute wait we caught her and said we'd waited long enough and not to worry about the orders anymore. A female front of the house manager visited our table to verify that my friends received the wrong tacos which we responded with we never received not 1 taco yet. She apologized and asked if we wanted the check for just the tea. We were kind of amazed at that. Very quickly the waitress came by to assure us we weren't responsible for the drink.

The flow was good. The atmosphere very nice. The band was the highlight.

As 1 of my friends and I have been in the bar/restaurant business for over 20 years we were noticing things. Food auctioned off to wrong tables. Made drinks sitting at the bar for over 15 minutes. Food returned to the bar area. I saw a cocktail delivered to a juvenile.

Before anyone attempts to bash me on this , yes , I understand it's the grande opening and grace to be given but to be open several weeks prior and have that many simple but repetitive mishaps gives first timers a bad view of it as a whole.

I want for the first time today. I live bourbon and they have a great selection. I sat at the bar and Shaylee was the bartender. She is wonderful! She was very welcoming and made me the best smoked old fashioned (I should have taken a pic). Go see her! Another delightful surprise was the meal that I ordered. I got the grilled pork chops with asparagus and a salad. I wish I could post a pic! Cowboy chops!! I was never so shocked and surprised when I got home and opened that box!!! OMG they are tender and delicious!! I will definitely be back...

We stopped by last minute for a Saturday lunch. The menu, although not large, is good. I had the turkey sandwich - it was excellent! The side salad was also very good.
