I’m going to start by saying that you two really have me fed up. You need to fix your attitude towards customers before someone teaches you a real life lesson. It won’t be me because I don’t get my hands dirty, and I’m obviously more mature than both of you. This brings me to writing a review, which is public and will let people see your true colors.
Two different occasions:
1st Occurrence: The manager stated she was not going to provide me with milk for my coffee because she didn’t want to, claiming she could do whatever she wanted because she’s the manager. First and foremost, I’m paying for my food services. Just because I’m not dining in does not give you the right to treat a carry-out customer differently because you think you won’t receive a tip.
The funny part of the situation was when a customer who was dining in heard the commotion and stated that the manager was very rude and disrespectful. This person should not be a manager and does not show leadership. TERRIBLE!!
2nd Occurrence: Happened today. I parked outside the restaurant and called in to place a carry-out order. The lady with shoulder-length blonde hair answered the phone. She informed me to give her a moment, which I did. When she got back on the phone, she said hello once and then hung up. Mind you, I said hello after she said hello. So I called back again and said, “Hello, I just called and you hung up the phone on me.” She said it was because she didn’t hear anything. Honey, of course you didn’t hear my hello because you hung up the phone.
After I said, “You hung up the phone,” she hung up again. Very unprofessional. So I decided to go inside and try to place my order.
I went inside, and the lady with shoulder-length hair was there. She said I was rude, which I wasn’t, as I just wanted to place my order. She walked off, told the manager, and I heard both of them say they do not want to deal with me.
Very unprofessional and unethical.
My family comes here almost every day, no matter the time, and it seems like we always have issues with the manager and now with this other lady.
The owner needs to provide at least coaching and counseling for both ladies because that is not how you...
Read moreFirst off, I am a regular of Herbie's. I would dare to say I eat one meal a day here. I may miss a day here or there, but basically, it's an everyday thing. I love this place. The staff (especially Wanda and Robin) are AWESOME; they know my name, what I like to drink, etc. The cooks are wonderful (especially Nellie and, forgive me, I do not recall his name, but he is a young African-American gentleman who is there a lot; I have seen him and Nellie work like MACHINES when it is busy; my hat is off to both of them; they are awesome). Anyway, went in for supper tonight, and saw the price increases. Now, I get it. In today's day and age, you have to periodically raise prices; it's the world we live in. However, this is the first time where I was like, whoaaaaaaaaaaaa! Some of the increases are pretty unreasonable in my opinion. $8.99 for 5 wings? That's $1.79 a wing, not a whole wing, but a piece! That's not cool. The end result is that I am going to have to stop coming to this establishment so often, not because of anyone, but because it is getting to the point where I cannot afford to eat there every day. I will still come, but I am going to have to cut way back, and this saddens me, because I love it there, the food, the people, everything. My key is this, when it starts to get to a point where you cannot afford to eat at your local diner, that is an issue. It makes me sad. I'll still eat there, but simply not as often. Please consider my comments in any future price increases, etc. Thanks for all you do! Signed - a loyal but...
Read moreIn a nutshell, we have had horrible service the past few times we went up to Herbie's on Wednesday nights (5-7pm). I could be very descriptive but I seriously doubt that the waitress would even be reprimanded in regards to their "customer service". A waitress should be inviting and attentive. Especially if they are working for tips. Regardless of their unacceptable behavior, I still left a tip. A dollar, but its better than nothing. I'm usually not one to complain, but I wanted to bring this to your attention. I've worked in this industry and expect a better performance than what we received. Unfortunately, I no longer have the desire to make Herbie's our traditional eating spot on Wednesday's before church. I appreciate the apology that I received, because I did express how I felt and asked for the manager's name. However, that won't make up for the past 3 dreadful experiences that I can recall. I suggest that the waitress' work on their customer service or find a job that best suits their personality. For a more positive review, the food always comes out in a timely fashion and is well prepared. It is convenient to us and I enjoy the laid back atmosphere.
Late post. I changed my score from 3 stars to 4 stars. We gave Herbies another try. A young girl with blue/green hair was very attentive and made us feel like our business was welcomed. We even went during peak hours and still receive excellent service. Of course the food was delicious and we will be tempted to...
