Pita Delite — Restaurant in Greensboro

Been eating here my entire life, 30 years ago it had a great family run restaurant feel and the food was always freshly prepared. There was always that “hello” and “goodbye” when you came or went. Over the years they have gone way down hill. Last night, we ate there and they were supposed to remain open until 8 according to their sign and google. They turned the open sign off and turned off the lights in the place at 7:40 while my wife, one year old and myself were still eating. They got an attitude when I asked for an extra dressing stating they normally charge extra for it which is only at this location and not at the other locations so huge inconsistency. Onion petals were burnt and over cooked, the chicken was super dry and just overall quality of food has gone way down. I have been eating here for 30 years. In the beginning there was an authentic family feel. Great food and atmosphere. A “hello or goodbye as you arrived and left. The food and atmosphere has been eroding in the past 10 years to today where I will say this is my last time eating here. The food felt like leftovers re heated. They forgot the signature sauce and said oops after finished eating it. I just assumed they cut costs and stopped providing it before I asked. Everything is measured from a bucket of pre made chicken, beef etc and reheated. I give this experience a blah 1 star as I would have done the same for my last 10 visits. I am not sure how this place has so many reviews with more than 1 star. We ended up in the area and drove around Friendly and could not find anything worth eating. Well we chose wrong when we went into Pita Delite. The guy taking orders was nice but not knowledgable at all. He had to ask about how the food was prepared. We order the kabab chicken sandwich. The chicken was extremely over cooked and it had no flavor. Even the tzatziki on the sandwich had no flavor. My son order a kids hamburger with fries. It did not say that it was a pita but I guess we should have assumed. The burger looked worse than McDonald's and he did not like the way it tasted.
