The Extra Ingredient — Local services in Greensboro

When you walk in, you're greeted by the smell of fresh coffee samples being brewed. As has been the case since I started going there as a boy in the early 1990s. As a Greensboro Native and now Myrtle Beach, SC transplant, this store has me coming back time and time again. Family affair style! My dad has been going to this store since the year after the store opened back in the 1980s in the same location. Think "Williams Sonoma" or your other favorite kitchen store meets prices that are not over inflated. Seriously, gourmet chef type of store that people can actually afford. Don't get me wrong, they have high end prices too, but here you'll find brands like All Clad, OXO, Henckels knives, etc. You WILL NOT find a better kitchen store...

Love this store so much. As a prep cook by day, I love to take my ideas home with me and experiment there. This shop has all the little, big, and sharp tools to make that possible! I’ve bought two knives and multiple kitchen tools (great selection btw) from this store and each visit I was welcomed, given time to browse, and had all my questions/concerns answered. They let me hold multiple knives just to get a in-hand feel which helps a ton, as I have a knife in my hand for most of the day. They’ve never tried to upsell me either, which is perfect. Definitely swing by here if you’re in need of something to spice up...

Bought a teak cutting board that after one use was shedding wood splinters - They told me they don’t warranty cutting boards. That’s fine but the fact that they did bot seem at all concerned or surprised about the condition of the board was a bit off-putting. The simply steered me towards another cutting board that they said would be better quality. My question is why they continue selling boards that are low quality without warning customers. Knowing that they don’t warranty their cutting boards I don’t think I’ll buy one there again. Also, I am not sure I trust their...
