This place is not good. Years ago it had great service and everyone treated with friendly prompt service. The last several years it just keeps getting worse. I have been numerous times when it wasn’t busy. I was the only one ordering, no one else in line, and maybe two people inside eating. Didn’t matter what day I would go it was the same. They would take my order and then they would walk out of the front and hang out in the back. No worker was out front. Then someone would eventually come out later saying someone would be out. Then finally someone would drop the already filled fry basket of fries in the fryer, that was all I ordered. I would always sit 8 minutes or more just waiting for someone to drop the fries in the fryer. I mean I could’ve done that myself. I didn’t know it took a company meeting and drawing of straws for a worker to drop a basket of fries in the fryer. Other people had just gotten their order that was eating, so it’s not like they had to wait to turn the fryer on or anything. They are rude and stand there staring at you with a scowl on their faces. They overcook the fries and don’t give out the full amount of fries either. I’ve given chances and I don’t write reviews, but it’s ridiculous at this five guys location in Greensboro. Also five guys fries and food are priced more expensive in Greensboro and surrounding areas such as High Point and Kernersville, than in Cary. Just think that’s odd, if anything I would expect the food to be more expensive in Cary...
Read moreWould have given this place 5 stars. The place wowed me on the very first visit with their awesome food, their fries are right up there with Carolina Cafe's in Siler City which I feel have the very best fries. I was blown away with the price of their burgers until I actually saw how humongous they were, I actually regretted not ordering a smaller one on my first trip out of ignorance. My biggest gripe was on my second failed visit when they just closed early on me by a few minutes. It was just passed 4PM and I was confused by the fact their doors stated they closed at 10PM, there was an employee cleaning up trashcans who saw me struggle with the doors. The man totally ignored me and failed to communicate to me that they were closed, he just looked my way then turned his back on me when I looked over at him. A lady employee standing inside just done this weird wave which I never understood what it meant but never vocalized they were closed??? It took me having to walk away confused back to my vehicle and recheck with Google only to find out there they modified their closing times, great lack of communication on their part... I love their food but the fact the employees just ghosted me was very awkward. Hey, what else can you expect from younger millennials though, it appears they can't be taught to communicate with the public anymore. They seem to be too afraid to talk to strangers even when it's their...
Read moreI gave it 3 stars cause every time I go and get a regular or small fry. Its not even full. Why charge $3-$5 for fries when you barely fill the small cups you serve them in. Why fries are even $3 for a small cup that you’d use for a shot of water in the break room is beyond me. The burgers are great and even the fries taste good. The service is decent despite 3/4 girls seeming to be impatient or have a chip on their shoulder. My issue is that it is too hard to fill a cup of fries that costs $3 plus with small burgers that cost $8. I ate 4 fries and my cup already looks empty. I miss the days where the guys in the back would overflow your fries. Seems like they almost are counting the fries they are putting in the cup like they have a limit. Fries also werent even cooked through and I ordered when they were not even busy. It was like someone above said, guys in the back moving slow, horsing around. Shocks me its that difficult to cook a menu with less than 10 different items on it or cook some fries all the way through.
Seriously debating on ever bothering. Wendy’s does it better and I don’t...
