DESERVES A 6TH STAR After being recommended to us by several people, we are so glad we finally tried Olives and Peppers. We wanted to try as much as we could so we ordered 2 appetizers and entree and a dessert. EVERYTHING was off the chart awesome, from the location, to the ambiance and of course the food. Every meal comes with wedding soup and bread, both are delicious. The portions are enormous including the appetizers. You could make a meal out of the appetizer alone. If you live in the Greensburg area you HAVE to try Olives and Peppers. Olives and Peppers has rocketed to the top as one of our favorite local restaurants. Special thanks to our waitress Marla who explained everything to us sine it was our first time but NOT our last. FYI; there is a $5.00 charge if you split an entrée which you may have to due to portion sizes. 20230513 Visited for Mother's Day, well the day before and it was the first time my in-laws had been there. They loved it and once again everyone's meals were absolutely delicious. I added some photos to the review from this visit. I had the Walleye, really good and for some reason not easy to find in the area. 20231231 Really enjoyed yet another meal at lunch time on New Year’s Eve. Fantastic in every way including our server Korrine who was friendly, and helpful with menu selections, thank you Korrine. Enjoyed the Seafood Pinna, Steak and Wild Mushroom Gorgonzola, and Crab Bisque from the special holiday menu. Everything was stellar and we left with more food than we actually ate since the portions are so large. I have to say you rarely get both quantity AND quality, Olives and Peppers goes big on both. 20250228 Another fantastic visit. Great food and great service. Marla our server was just as top notch as the food.

First time here. We always have heard good things and we were not disappointed. Beautiful old building with a very nice decor. Service was excellent, a friendly warm staff. The menu is nice. Not 4 pages of 100 entrees that you know can't all possibly be cared for properly. The 4 of us did not try an appetizer due to time restraint, but we did have a drink. My wife only drinks sweet wine . I know, most folks don't respect it, but she felt the Moscato was delicious. I got the strawberry basil balsamic shrub, another friend had the sweet tea old fashion. Both are were great. I'm not a gin lover but this thing was amazing. Three of our table had the steak and wild mushroom gorganzola pasta. All loved it. I tried my wife's and it was delicious. I opted for a fav of mine gnocchi with vodka sauce and a meatball. Perfect! I'm Italian and I'm picky about meatballs. I want a soft meatball. Min was large and cut easily with my fork. Yummy. All pasta meals came with a wedding soup. I dont care fo wedding soup but Salad was a up charge. This was not a choice for me since I knew I would never finish the salad and we were going out for the night so take home was out. This was the best wedding soup I had ever had. Hearty and flavorful. Not watery and bland. The portions were huge. The 4 of us split a taramisu. Very good. The only disappointment was the bread. While it was good, it was also soft and plain. I would prefer a crusty hearty bread. Not really something that affected my pleasure in my meal.

Second Edit: This is not the first, or even the second time I've gone to the restaurant and left annoyed. Your food is phenomenal, your wait staff is generally friendly (besides the time a waitress handed us the check 5 minutes after our dinner landed at the table with no words. If you're almost headed home that's fine, I've been there. But you can at least say something.) The management and host staff are both condecending and inept. It's a bad combo. I made a reservation for me and my wife. Everytime I make one, the staff acts like I'm putting them out, or like I'm taking a seat away from a Kennedy. I got a specific table upstairs. I reserved it. And I arrived 5 min early, only to have some host say "Oh, I just gave that table away!" Then you sat us by the kitchen door without so much as an apology. Edit: Word to the wise, don't order martinis here. They charge by the shot for that apparently. They also charged me $3 for extra olives. I ended up paying nearly $40 for two cocktails! I was a bartender in NY for four years and that's unheard of. Also, I guess my server was in a rush to leave? Because she dropped off the check and two boxes before we asked for them, and we hadn't been very long. (Didn't love that, but who knows what was happening on her end.) Otherwise the place is great. Amazing food, great ambiance. Maybe update your POS to have base prices for cocktails with an upcharge for certain liquors though.

I have been here on several occasions and the food and service are always great (hence the two stars). However, my wife and I recently invited her parents in to celebrate her father's birthday and had the worst restaurant experience.

We made a reservation for 5 pm and they accepted it. Two days before, they called us and said we had a 1 hour and 45 minute table limit due to the "size" of our party (6 people, really?) so they have enough time to "sanitize" the tables for the next guests. A reservation is a reservation of the table. Putting a time limit on it makes it more like an appointment. Also, how lame to use COVID as an excuse. Sanitizing a table before, during, and after COVID is as simple as wiping down the table. Let's not play games.

We showed up at five, had a great meal, great service (shout out to Kaitlyn), and then once I paid the bill (time was around 6:30 pm), I noticed the Head Hostess continually glancing at our table. I was well aware of the time, but we were all sitting there listening to my father-in-law tell a wonderful story (it was his birthday, after all). A few minutes later (maybe 6:35 pm), she came over and said, "I'm really sorry sir, but the next table is here."

Are. you. serious?

I let her know that we still had ten minutes left and she acted like she had no idea ("Oh, really?" I said, "Yes, our reservation was at 5"). Unbelievable. Just spent close to $200 and then got kicked out! Besides other things, it made me sick--What a great operating principle, "Come spend your money and have a great time, but we're going to put a time limit on you so we can flip the table and continue making as much money as possible."

Clearly not a restaurant that cares about larger families or even large parties. For the remainder of the evening, my in-laws just kept remarking on how they have never been kicked out of a restaurant. The last two minutes we were there ruined their entire experience.

I have an older friend that really enjoys going here, so I will keep going with him for his sake, but I will not be bringing my family, my parents, or in-laws here ever again. I wanted to write this review to let everyone know who has a larger party that you will be asked to leave (even before your "time limit" has expired). Disgusting. I will be sure to say something to the manager.

As one (former) restaurant worker to another, there are many ways to give a customers the hint to leave, even after they have paid the bill. It would have been as simple as, "Can I get you all anything else?"...

My boyfriend and I were very excited to try this restaurant out! We decided to meet another couple for dinner at 6:30 on 7/31/21. We were seated by 6:35 at a high top table beside the bar. Out waitor seemed really nice and it seemed to be busy which was a good sign. We unfortunately had to wait 40 minutes to place our food order. After placing our food our we were given warm water refills until our waitor gave us 1 cup of ice to split between the 4 of us . After waiting at least another 30 minutes three of us finally got our food. My salad was cold and looked like it had been sitting for a while and Alexa ordered a pizza and she ended up getting her pizza at 8:30 when we were leaving the Restaurant. We were told that the first pizza was burnt so the cooks had to make a new pizza. While we were waiting for Alexas pizza to come out two people finished their food so I asked the waitor for another glass of wine. At least 20 minutes has gone by so I told him to scratch the wine. He proceeded to apologize and state that the bartenders had been messing up all night. When we got our checks at 8:30 pm which was two hours later he never took the pizza off of the check while my friend waited for all night and missed out on eating dinner with us. She received her pizza in a to go box because it had taken so long. We asked for him to take it off the check in a kind way and he said sorry I told my manager to take it off and they forgot. I felt like he did not take any responsibility for what had happened all night. He blamed everything on everyone else. Not only did we experience slow service but we watched our waitor cough into his hand and take garbage out and then 15 seconds later hand us plates of food. I still paid $60 for our meals and did not make a scene. I wish I would have never spent my money here. its not like everyone around else had bad service.. It seemed like we were the only table being excluded from good service. I hate to leave a bad review but I can honestly say it was the most disappointing dinner I have ever...
