We have been going to the Angus Grill for four years usually after a football game or sports event on campus. Never had an issue until this visit. The college kids waiting on tables were great and I believe the folks in the kitchen were doing the best they could howeverâŠ.Saturday night we waited for almost two hours to get our food order. The poor waiter kept apologizing over and over. Said kitchen was backed up. Finally a man that was working the door when we arrived and seemed like âa managerâ walked by and we asked him to check on our food. He said âTo be honest, it is game day. We had this same problem two weeks ago after a game. It is always like this. It is game day.â I said âto be honest, we have come before on game day and you were much more crowded than this and didnât have to wait two hours.â Before I could complete my sentence this âgentlemanâ interrupted to say again âwell to be honest it is game day and if you donât like it, I can comp what you have had and you can just go somewhere else.â At this moment our food came. No apologies from this person at all. Two hours to get our food with really not that big of a crowd (seen it twice as full) and the manager admitting that it happens frequently on game day is not a kitchen or staff issue. This is a management issue. Manage to your need. If you know it is going to be game day, prep your staff and kitchen accordingly. Very disappointed. PS. Ladies bathroom was filthy too. Floor so sticky your shoes stick to it. We wonât be back. Ever. I felt the most sorry for the students who work there and have to deal with this. Saw customerâs leave without eating and others left disappointed in how...
Read moreWe are from New Bern and come to Greenville once a month for doctors appointments and everytime we come we try some where new and the last time we came to AG and when we called the order in she didn't tell us they had multiple locations so we went to the other one that was way across town and they sent us to this location. I get there and walk in and the whole front part was empty and there was no one to greet me to tell me where to pick up, I finally walk up to the bar and ask a group of employees who are standing and sitting at the bar drinking I don't know if they were on the clock or not but they finally point me to the bar tender, she finally asks me if I have an order. She gives me my order and takes the cash I told her to keep the change and she doesn't even ask me if I need any condiments or anything, I had to ask her. She was very rude and wanted to go back to talking to her friends at the end of the bar! Very rude! The food was greasy and cold by the time I got it. Not good at all! The best part was the ranch. I will definitely not be going back and will not recommend to anyone! Only 1...
Read moreThis was my first visit and I'd been wanting to try it for some time as I live in the neighborhood. The menu is great and the burger I ordered was good, nothing special. Our server was rude and thought she was being cute/funny when she kept trying to push us all (I went for lunch with 2 others) to have a shot of tequila. Once a customer says "no thank you," that should be the end of it. We were on lunch break from work, seriously, WTF? I've got 30 yrs customer service experience, including working in a bar/restaurant. This server didn't even act happy to be there... I get it, customer service jobs blow, but at least act inviting to your customers, especially if you rely on tips. Also, I regularly see employees out front smoking which is a turn off, even for a smoker. This place is next to a laundromat and smoke gets inside. One more thing, the restaurant management really needs to see that their customers not take up all the parking spaces in front of the laundromat; it's very inconvenient for people who have a lot of laundry, especially if they are disabled. Do better...
