Quite busy. I had the healthiest thing on the menu, a poppyseed strawberry and chicken salad. It was perfect. I didn't understand since there was no table service when you paid online they ask if you wanted to tip. But the budget duo with the soup half sandwich and roll or a stealer price if you drink water. And if you get one of those large salads two people can eat off of it so you're still only paying about six or seven dollars per person which I think is a good deal. 6-15-25: ordered days ahead and picked up my two Father's Day poppyseed strawberry salads. Drive-through very efficient and very kind drive-through server. 6-21-25: went with a friend of mine for supper and both of us had the soup and sandwich combination was very good I had the wild rice soup and the turkey sandwich. In one of their semi sweet orange scones. They have a real nice gas fireplace with a low long couch and two chairs someone could just sit and read and have a drink and a sandwich. It's nice and cool inside it's a good oasis in this crazy world.
6-25-25: i'm telling you this is about the fourth time if eaten here in two weeks. This is my new favorite place. Even when it's busy it's just very cool and inviting and the food is great and you can get really good deals if you know what to look for. Today I got me a Mexican corn chowder and a chicken Panini type sandwich. And don't forget the mini baguette you get with your soup. 9-8-2025: I had a avocado egg white and tomato sandwich on what looks like an oat bun. It was a lot more delicious than it looked on the inside. My only recommendation is to have larger slices of avocado instead of the equal amount of avocado with tiny little slices to fall out when you bite into it. but I had a good coupon and my breakfast was only five dollars and they have such good atmosphere here and so many different seating arrangements and fireplace and couch so you just can't beat it. So you might wanna get the app and look up the coupons because you can eathigh class for the same amount as you could eat...
Read moreI am a bit disappointed in this location. I am a junior at ECU and for the past 2.5 years, Panera has been "my spot". In fact, I credit the atmosphere and general comfort for my academic succes. I lived in Morehead City for the first two years and I absolutely adored that store. The managers we kind, professional, and got to know me over the years. I even saw one of the managers and a familiar employee from Morehead here at the Greenville store (helping the opening process) when they first opened both the manager and the employee recognized me immediately, that felt really great. I always felt welcomed when I would spend an upwards of 6+ hours twice a week in their cafe doing my school work. I assumed this location would be the same when I moved to Greenville. Unfortunately, I have found that the staff is not well connected. I have encountered a few individuals who were kind and professional, but I encountered even more that are not. Several "eye rolls" when asking questions, short tempers, texting out in the open, forgotten items (baguette 2 days in a row), empty creamers on several occasions, and a general feeling of disorganization. The buzzers don't work, so every two minutes (sometimes every few seconds during a rush) the servers are YELLING the names out of the individuals which completely disrupts the "study" & "cafe" atmosphere. The internet is also awful, even during the slow times when everyone isn't hogging the bandwidth. I am unable to watch videos or lectures online. They won't buffer, or the video will pause every 5 seconds or so. The reason I gave three stars, rather than less, is the food. The quality of the food is still excellent and the drink selection is wonderful. I truly hope they can pick up their game so studying becomes pleasant again. I would like to think it’s because they are getting into the groove of a new store. And of course, if anything is to change, I will update this...
Read moreGrab the popcorn and settle in for my Greenville NC Panera experiences. I love Panera Bread just as much as the next. No I’m not going to stop going here because of these issues but I find it only fair (and comedic) to share my experiences. Recently ordered COFFEE through the Panera app and decided with the spikes in COVID to be alittle on the safer side than has become normal and opted for curbside instead of inside pickup. I waited for 15 minutes past the designated pick up time along side another woman who was there before I arrived. I don’t jump to assumptions that the workers are sitting around doing nothing. It’s 4:00 in the afternoon on a Saturday maybe they had to brew more coffee, I’ve worked the food service business, I get it. But when the lady beside me goes inside and stomps out with her food I knew that had I let myself make the aforementioned assumption, I would have been at least half right. So in turn I walked in to find my almond milk and sugar syrup concoction waiting patiently for that bold, black, steamy soul thawing goodness we’ve affectionately dubbed coffee. Looking around, it’s dead in here. Not saying there’s an absence of customers but an absence of busyness. Absolutely no reason for me to have had to walk in to get my curbside pickup. Another time not too long ago I order a Chipotle Bacon Melt for lunch, curbside pickup since I was grabbing lunch for a friend who was at work as well, and imagine my surprise when I open my sandwich only to find the ONLY MEAT on this sandwich IS NOT THERE. This funny enough has happened to me not just once, but twice...so far. Stay tuned for more of Panera’s...
