Simply Delicious Greek Mediterranean Cuisine — Restaurant in Greenville

My beloved husband Don and I decided to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and Valentine's Day with a relaxing, casual lunch at Simply Delicious, and the way we were taken care of and the quality of the food was everything we had hoped for, and more! I am Vegan and Don is not, so finding a restaurant that could cater to both of our food choices can be challenging at times. Here, nothing is a challenge for this amazing chef! I chose the Vegetable sandwich on pita with a Turkish coffee, and Don ordered a beef gyro with iced tea, and both of us shared the Manakeesh pie. A little while into our delicious meal, we overheard another table order the chicken w/rice soup, so we decided to order some to take home. A few minutes later he brought two ramekins of lentil soup for us to try, and I have to tell you, I am not normally a lentil soup person - I find most recipes rather bland - but this soup was SIMPLY DELICIOUS, pun intended!! Had a wonderful lunch here today! We were greeted upon entry and there was no wait for a table. Our server came to us promptly and answered all questions we had regarding menu options. We chose the Gyro lunch special (your choice of lamb, beef or chicken) we chose lamb, as our sides we chose Hummus (which is a $1.00 upcharge) and a Greek salad (they also offer rice or fries) The hummus was fresh and delicious, some of the best I've ever had! The Greek Salad was fresh, they offer homemade Greek dressing on the side, but the Lamb was the star of the show!! It was seasoned perfectly, not dry at all, and delicious!! That Pita Bread though y'all... it's made in house and phenomenal!! We decided to try the Baklava for dessert, they offer a choice of Walnut or Pistachio, we chose Walnut, it was good as well. The restaurant was clean, the service was great, and we found both meals quite affordable! This was my first experience with Authentic Greek food, but it definitely won't be my last, I will be returning to this establishment again, for the food, service and affordability!!...

The name definitely speaks for itself “Simply Delicious”, As soon as I walked in the restaurant I was greeted with a big smile and I’m guessing the guy that helped me was the owner.. He was super friendly and his service was phenomenal. I ordered a lamb gyro which was very tasteful from the meat to the topping , everything was soo fresh… The owner was so kind to allow me to taste the falafel and the mint lemonade, which both were to die for.. Lemonade was so refreshing and tasty, and the falafel was nice crispy golden brown and the filling melts right in your mouth , and it had sesame seeds on it.. This restaurant deff needs more recognition because the staff is amazing.. I will definitely return very soon and pass the word around to help this business..
