My name is Ann Marquez. Last night my son wanted Taco Bell, our closest one is Mills Ave. I started an online order in the parking lot, not only to speed up the process for all concerned but to get rewards from ordering online as the app promises. After making our order I drove to the speaker and gave my name as it said to. The lady said she didn’t have our order in the system and would probably take about 10 minutes to show up. She then directed me to drive around to the front door to show me how to use the app. I did. When a woman came out to our van, she “Did not try to help me figure out how to finish my order “. Actually she kept telling me “see it shows here you didn’t finish the order”. Instead of apologizing for the miscommunication at the drive thru window she was very dismissive. At which point I told her we would go to McDonald’s. This morning I call to report this to the store manager. At which a nice Shift Leader named Latosha not only said she would let corporate know what happened by pulling the security footage but would also give my son and I what we ordered for free. No more than a few minutes went by and my phone rang. It was the Taco Bell store manager. She unfortunately was the same lady from last night. Apparently she was calling to argue again with me. She proceeded to tell me that she tried to help me last night and she wasn’t dismissive with me! Instead of apologizing for her Rude attitude and the team’s lack of customer service skills! Enclosed is a screenshot of what the app showed last night after I finally figured it out. All my autistic son wanted was two burritos from Taco Bell…thank goodness McDonald’s has been taking care of customers for so many years! FYI just in case anyone may have anything to say about me not knowing how it feels to work in the fast food industry, I put over 25 years in which includes McDonald’s and Taco Bell. I pray the Mills Ave. store gets it together so this doesn’t happen to someone else. PS. There was no need for the store manager to call me back. Latosha had it handled and she...
Read moreOk, so I'm not a Taco Bell fan, but my husband wanted to try the new Toasted Cheddar Chalupa. We pulled up and the open sign was not on, although we were well within the posted business hours. I pulled the door to see if it was locked. It was not, so I walked in to ask the employee sweeping the lobby if they were open. Without looking, she advised, chuckling, that she must have the sign unplugged. I glanced and saw that yes, the sign plug was on the floor, instead of being plugged in. She went behind the counter to take my husband's order of the New Cheddar Chalupa, then began talking into her drive-thru headset "I need to let you know that you have to have exact change or card. Huh? Okay" and then she responded to us that they don't have that anymore. I advised that its listed both outside the building on a big sticker, as well as behind her on the menu, as a new menu item. She told another drive thru customer about the tender required then to us stated that they do that; advertise something, then take it away quick, and get something different. I'm not sure if they really didn't have the "New, Toasted Cheddar Chalupa" or if it was just difficult to make, but I assume that the cash drawer had been pulled prematurely, and she didn't want to count it again. We did order something and left, but the taco shells were stale and the food was gross. I know...what...
Read moreThis Taco Bell is definitely in need of improvement. I went in at 10am and there wasn't a bad wait time. The food was prepared fresh. But the young lady that took my order was far from curtious. She wasn't disrespectful but you could tell that she really didn't want to be there. As far as the food, I got mine to go, very disappointing, especially for the price I paid. Taco Bell used to be one of the cheapest places to eat...not anymore. The portions are extremely smaller than they used to be. Not sure if that's franchise wide but this one was VERY skimpy on the ingredients. I got a taco salad. They used to come in a tall plastic container so the salad shell wouldn't get crushed and they would pile it full of lettuce and all of the other stuff that make up a taco salad. This one was virtually flat and and the salad part wasn't enough to really make a sandwich with. They used to be so much better. I got the Nachos Bel Grande Supream for my son. It was the about the size of a small small side salad. The food was tasty, I will give them that. I think the franchise owner for this store is trying to skimp on the food to keep costs down. But it's the food that keeps the customers coming in. Get to bad with the food and they'll loose customers. They would really have a problem if another taco place opened with cheap prices and even better food. IJS But it's a...
