(Edited Review): The cafe is right next to Greenville Technical College. I really like coming here after school to study. Overall I like this place much better than Starbucks and actually more than most coffee shops I’ve been to. This place has been my go to spot and really is just right, even the music choices they have for the background music. Are really good! I have no idea what genres they are playing but it’s not the usual pop music they play on the radio, it’s music that fades into the background while you’re studying, but also beautiful when u care to listen. Summer Moon is one of those premium things in life like a reliable car, Apple MacBook Pros, AirPods, etc. It’s just right on the money! 2 criticisms I have are:
I love the marble tables, however the chairs for them are just not comfortable and have 0 cushion. My spine feels weird after sitting on them for a long time.
The coffee is pricey. Idk if that’s just how it is. However being a college student, finances are tight so I don’t see myself continuing to come here for the next few years as often as I do and always buying coffee cuz it’s like $8 every time, just a few dollars shy of a full meal at some...
Read moreGreat location. Attractive interior. Cheaper than Starbucks. So, why 3-stars? The service and coffee. Coffee- I had the Blue Moon Latte. After getting the obligatory explanation of what the heck "Moon Milk" is (steamed sweet cream), I thought I would give it a shot. My hot coffee came luke-warm. As promised, it was sweet. Apparently anything with Moon Milk (which is everything practically) is make with this sweet cream. Service- At the window they seemed thoroughly about how to take my money. It took two people to sort it out. I finally just told them to keep all the change as the time spent waiting was not worth it. Without so much as a thank you them, I left. Summary- Service is probably due to grand opening issues. Coffee, well if you like sugar drinks, you'll like this. Hard to believe anyone could "out sugar' Starbucks!. Definitely no Methodical.
To be far- will try again in a few...
Read moreThis is my new go-to place for morning coffee! The place is bright and open, with ample seating options including several nice cushy chairs in front of the fireplace. The biggest plus, in my opinion, is the quality of their coffee. It is the best I have had in the Greenville area , hands down. I like to sit there for an hour or so with my laptop, and knock down two large coffees. My only, very. minor, recommendation for improvement, is to. make sure that the baked goods for sale are fresh. I have ordered a scone on several occasions and they are always good, but the muffin I ordered was hard, dry, and clearly a couple of days old. The server was super nice and let me exchange it for a scone, no questions asked. Oh, and BTW, ALL of the people behind the counter are super, super nice, and efficient! I plan to keep going back, once or twice a week,...
