Mediocre menu and the business needs a lot of help. Owner takes pride in being a Latin woman owned business but doesn’t care to actually incorporate that into her products. As a Latin woman myself I was super exited to try it out and see how I could support a fellow Latina business owner, however the more I learned about her through her social media I became disappointed in her victim mentality and behaviour. Seeing a fellow Latina woman talk about how “men” just for being men hate to see a woman in business just because a random guy left her a 1 star review gave me the ick. As a Latina business owner I’ve come to see many with this mentality are not successful since they pride themselves too much to see how they’re in the wrong just because they’re a woman. Strong business women learn to not take things personally and not only that but if a man affects you that much you’re letting him win. As a third party who happened to see the man’s review and the instagram story she posted, her reaction is quite embarrassing. I do wanna clarify that I did support and visit this establishment multiple times, which is why I followed her instagram, and tried to be a genuine supporter. Wanted to check out the place because I’ve seen them on my fyp and on other socials and know of people who enjoyed it and recommended it. The place is so cute and the vibes are chill. I went with some friends, we got two smoothies and an açaí bowl. Tbh 9$ for a small smoothie that taste like I can make it at home was a bit crazy, and it didn’t have much flavor. I finished mine bc I’m not wasting 9$, however my friend tossed hers after a few sips. The bowl was okay it’s on the smaller side but the price compares very similarly to other smoothie bowl places. Over the past few months it has become my go to spot for coffee, breakfast, or an afternoon smoothie. In addition to the excellent quality and creativity of the menu, Camila and her team have nailed the most important part of the hospitality industry: exceptional customer service!
