My friends and I have been to Firehouse Deli lots of times, but our most recent experience, in particular, really stood out. We needed 7 sandwiches that we wouldn't be eating until the next day. We were worried about whether or not the sandwiches would stay good. The owner, Anthony, was at the deli when we arrived, and immediately reassured us that they would accommodate what we needed. He put all of our toppings (lettuce, tomato, roasted peppers, dressings) on the side. He was very up front about which sandwiches wouldn't sit well over night (for example, the chicken cutlet would dry out). He made other suggestions and reviewed our order with us when it was finished. We walked out of the deli with exactly what we wanted, and it didn't long for them to complete the order at. There are so many choices, and the staff is so accommodating with changes. We can't wait to go back and recommend Firehouse to anyone looking for a...
Read moreFirehouse deli, located in Byram, family owned and operated for over 16 years, is a take away food place (no seating) that serves up some of the best deli sandwiches anywhere. They bring in their bread from the best NY italian bakeries, and their list of "Crazy Combo" sandwiches leaves little to the imagination; my personal favorite is called the "Fedex", which is comprised of chicken cutlets, bacon, cheddar cheese, and bbq sauce, phenomenal! The sandwiches come in large and small sizes, the large being a monstrous 14 inch grinder for $9, and the small being a roll for $6.25. All major credit cards are accepted, parking can be difficult but their is a municipal parking lot just behind the firestation on the opposite side of the street which is usually open. I've been coming here for years and I hope the owner Anthony and the rest of the crew keep serving up these wonderful creations for years to come....
Read moreI am not one to write a review when it relates to any food or hospitality as I am in the service industry as well and know it can be difficult with customer service at times, but this one I had to write. I moved to Greenwich in April 2021 and have ordered from Firehouse Deli on numerous occasions (told by many that it is the best in Greenwich) as I am an owner of a company that has employees, clients and vendors to meet much which involves lunch. This establishment has always invoiced me incorrectly or the order is wrong. The amounts never add up to the receipt, told verbally or the banking account. Although the food is good (but a bit overpriced) and Anthony (owner) is very nice and responsive, all orders never go accordingly, whether it is in the pricing, missing items, incorrect items. So...
