So lets get one things straight, I sent my desktop computer to them to get fixed. I am now writing this review on that computer. They fixed it. So whatever else I'm about to say, if you need a working computer, they got mine to work.
Now for why I'm giving them a 2 star review. I gave them the computer and told them what's up, they gave me a guestimate of what was wrong, how they would fix it (new hard drive, $180) and how long it would take (3 days) and I was happy enough with that. I asked them to keep my old hard drive because, even though I backed up my computer recently, I couldn't remember if I had set it to back up certain folders or back up the whole computer. Please give me the new hard drive and my old hard drive back IN CASE I decide I need something off of it then I'll come back and ask for data recovery. We parted ways.
I called back a week later not sure what was going on and they told me they wouldn't start work until they had confirmed with me that I was ok with the price/work to be done. We confirmed the same course of action they had guessed at on our first meeting and the same price.
I'm a little miffed that they hadn't reached out to me more to get that confirmation but honestly, this is a small issue and pretty reasonable. I should have probably called sooner than a week later if I was going to be upset about their timeline.
Anyway, they get to work on it and I show up three days later and it's not done. They're 'very busy' they say. Annoying but I'm happy for them, I came here to support a local business. I can't be upset then that they're doing well.
I show up the next day and they point out another issue beyond what they thought and it's another $50 to reset the power something or other. Annoying that they only found this 4 days in but sure... The next day (or two, I forget) I go in (because they haven't initiated contact with me any more than once this whole time) and finally it's done. I ask for my computer, pay the price, ask for my old hard drive and.... They never gave me a new hard drive. They just WIPED my old one and charged me for a new one. I had already paid by this point. The guy lamented that he took a few days off and his tech did things without informing him... "I'll talk to him Wednesday and I'll see about fixing the price when I figure out what he did." .... If you're still reading I'm sure you have guessed, Wednesday has come and gone and they haven't refunded me a penny. On further inspection of my computer they gave me a video card I didn't ask for... So that's... a thing..
Also they unplugged my CD drive for.. some reason and I had to fix that myself. Thanks.
Why did they wait a week to work on it so they could "confirm that I knew what was going to happen and what I was paying for" if they were just going to do whatever the hell they wanted after all?
I haven't had the time to check my back ups so I don't even know if I've permanently lost photos or anything yet. I'm not going back there so I'm just going to pretend like the video card I didn't ask for is the same cost as the hard drive I DID ask for and leave it at that.
I found some spyware when I got around to downloading my security software. Did they put it? Did my school website? I don't know and I'm past caring. Here's your review and we'll call it done.

Read moreJust about three weeks ago in in Florida my mom got some water damage to her IPhone 6s and right away put it in rice to see if that would would help but unfortunately it didn't. The next day took it to the Apple Store and this so called "geniuses" at Apple instantly told us the phone had to much damage to it and that we would have to buy a new one. They said they would keep that phone and give us a discount on a brand new 7. It would be a small discount what they were giving it to us for. I had some fate that the phone could be fixed and wanted a secound opinion, rather an outside opinion not Apple. Two days passed and we were back in NY and in Port Chester at a doctors appointment and saw this this store and went in to get a second opinion and was instantly greated by two really cool and friendly guys. Mike and Cris. They told me they would have to open it up check it out and see what they could do. Later in the day I received a call from cris confirming that they could absolutely fix it and that the damage wasn't even that bad. Hmm that's a surprise. Strange Apple was saying they complete opposite like they off course would. Lie to there customers to benefit themselves economically. Like they really need to. Anyways the next day I picked up the phone And it was working perfectly. Even sounded better than before. My experience was excellent very good price compared to what We would have spent on with Apples recomendation and Cris did awsome. These guy were very professional and genuine. Read moreWent there to fix a cracked screen on iPhone 8, was advised by mike that camera also needed repair. I paid for him to fix both $173.40. He didn’t have part or matching black screen for my phone. He temporarily fixed with white screen and assured me he would have parts the following day. I told him I’d be in at 7 for him to finish fixing my phone. Overall experience with mike was great.
Next day, no Mike, no part. Spoke with technician Chris, who is very disgruntled and has no idea how to speak with customers. He advised me that it’s not his problem that mike isn’t here nor that the part was not in. I asked why they don’t pick up the phone (I would have saved myself a trip to this location) and Chris replied, “I’m overworked and too busy to answer calls at work”! Some customer service. I asked what his problem was and he continued to get defensive and stating it’s not his problem. I asked for a refund on the part that I paid for and was never given and he replied, “there are no refunds, read your receipt”! Some customer service at this location! I then followed up with Natasha at the New Rochelle location, she was an absolute pleasure to deal with on the phone in helping to resolve my issues. I think this company can use a few more Natasha’s and or a customer service class educating the employees on how to speak with customers.
I will be following up with my credit card company and the BBB to get these issues resolved.
