A Sweet Treat on Greenwich Ave! Van Leeuwen Ice Cream never disappoints—and this Greenwich Avenue location is no exception! I stopped by for a quick treat and ordered a waffle cone with mango sorbet and classic vanilla ice cream, and WOW. The flavors were rich, creamy, and super fresh. The mango was perfectly tangy and refreshing, and the vanilla had that pure, high-quality taste that only real ingredients can deliver. The waffle cone was warm and crisp, adding the perfect crunch to every bite. The staff was super friendly and patient while I sampled a few options. The shop itself is also really cute—perfect for a quick stop or a stroll down Greenwich Ave with your cone in hand. If you’re looking for the best artisanal ice cream in Greenwich Village, or just craving a unique dessert spot in NYC, Van Leeuwen is a must-visit. Great location, amazing flavors, and always worth it! 📍 Van Leeuwen Ice Cream – Greenwich Ave, New York, NY ✅ Vegan and classic flavors available ✅ Premium ingredients ✅ Ideal for families, couples, or solo treat days

Good ice cream. Was excited to go in when I saw a poster on the front door of a caramel crunch Sunday on my way to dinner. Said to my fiancé and friend we must go after dinner. I tried to order it at the front and the two cashiers had no idea what I was referring to or how to make it. Said maybe it’s at another location? Then I felt flustered to order something else quickly since there was a long line and I had the one order in mind from hours prior and was craving this tasty looking sundae. Just an off putting experience the way they handled it. Just throw something together (vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, caramel drizzle and crush some cookies). instead they made me feel weird/badly for even asking. My Suggestion would be to take the poster off the front door or the staff should be better prepared when a customer asks for it.

One of this things I wanted to do while visiting this town was to stop here. They have a good selection of flavors and even offer vegan options. Staff was friendly and engaging. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I know some of the the reviews mentioned the prices are steep but I didn't find them too be too expensive. They even have a machine that you can put cash and get a prepaid card since seem to no accept cash but I paid by card so not sure if that true. I decided to try the peanut butter brownie honeycomb and it was delicious. They seem to get a steady steam of customers and their service was consistent. Overall my experience was good definitely reccomend if your in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this delightful ice cream place, and I can't say enough about the incredible customer service I experienced. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine eagerness to make my visit special.

The staff went above and beyond to help me choose from their extensive array of mouthwatering flavors. They offered generous samples and expert recommendations, ensuring I found the perfect scoop for my taste. The level of patience and knowledge they displayed was truly remarkable.

Not only was the ice cream absolutely divine, but it was also served with an extra scoop of kindness. The staff took the time to engage with each customer, making everyone feel welcome and valued. They even offered to customize toppings and create unique combinations to satisfy my cravings.

What truly sets this place apart is the attention to detail in ensuring a memorable experience. From the immaculate cleanliness of the establishment to the prompt service, it's evident that they take immense pride in what they do.

In an era where customer service can sometimes be lacking, this ice cream place is a shining example of what exceptional service should be. I left with a heart full of happiness and an ice cream cone full of deliciousness. If you're looking for a sweet treat and a side of outstanding customer service, this is the...

Any place by definition that doesn't except cash shouldn't be in business. Brainwashed people pay with phones and credit cards. They do have a machine on site that apparently turns your cash into a card which is what employee did with my money as I refuse to pay with a card. I said deal with it and he went and bought the card and paid for it with it The American currency clearly states what it's meant to be accept it without any ifs or buts oldies woke cuckoo places that choose not to. Hopefully a law will be passed sooner or later making it very illegal. The ice cream itself was not bad of most ice creams, unfortunately, heavily oversweetened. That's far the best place in Connecticut is artusa. Also, the pricing doesn't make much sense at the place. A three scoop ice cream rather large one was 11. A tiny little one for my son was almost eight. Go figure do I have to mention we drove an hour and 15 minutes to try El gray ice cream, which is the only unique thing about this...
