The fried artichoke appetizer didn't have enough of the fibrous leaves removed from the edible heart. Was very unpleasant to try to chew those hard leaves. Normally when eating an artichoke I would pick off those leaves, but this was served as a battered deep fried item, which suggested you could eat the whole thing. Only after popping it into my mouth did I realize it contained near-unchewable pieces.
We had the mahi-mahi taco special, and the rib raviolis for entrees. They were both fine, not amazing, but decent. For the price though, it was very disappointing. $22 for 3 small fish tacos is too much, especially when the quality is merely OK. I would have been happier with the food if not for the very high prices. Two cocktails, one appetizer, and two entrees were over $100 before tip. High prices are fine if the food is excellent, but hard to accept for this quality.
Our server was nice but then left in the middle of our meal, maybe her shift ended. But she didn't tell anyone, so after waiting for 15 minutes after finishing our meal we had to flag down someone clearing tables to ask for a check.
Drinks were overly sour, had twice as much lemon/like juice as they needed. Overly sweet as well, not a well made cocktail. We had the strawberry cocktail and something with ginger.
Won't be going back, and wouldn't recommend...
Read moreGreat spot for celebrating a special occasion with delicious food and drinks. Each dish was beautifully plated and tasted even better.
For appetizers, we tried the Kung Pao Brussels sprouts, the portobello mushroom fries, the fluke tartare, and the burrata. The fluke tartare, which comes with avocado, yuzu, and sriracha on a bed of crispy sushi rice, was a crowd favorite. It tasted super fresh and left me wanting more. I also really loved the burrata, which comes with roasted beets and blood orange wedges and is drizzled with burnt honey and sprinkled with aleppo pepper — a very nice combination of ingredients.
For my entrée, I had the spicy lobster spaghetti, which comes with chunks of lobster, cherry tomatoes, baby arugula, and Calabrian chili flakes. It was deliciously spicy.
For dessert, I tried the Nutella truffles, which were coated in hazelnut chunks. Not overly sweet, they were a nice way to finish an amazing meal.
I also tried their fall red sangria. I wasn’t crazy about it, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I went on a Monday night and the restaurant was pretty empty. The street parking right in front of the restaurant was taken, but we were able to find a spot at a reasonable...
Read moreWe were excited to try this restaurant with our friends and really loved the service and the food & drink. Particular standouts were the lobster rolls, rib eye, swordfish & pork chop. The El Chapo drink was wonderful as were the Espresso Martini's. Our server made great recommendations and was very timely, friendly and helpful as was mostrof the staff. We were looking forward to returning but that's when the night took an unfortunate turn. Five minutes after we had received our bill, the manager came over and said people were waiting for our table and we had to leave. Our reservation was at 6 pm and it was a few minutes after 8 pm when we received the bill which turned out to be over $600 with tip. We had already put our cards down to pay when the manager came over. We found this incredibly rude and my husband spoke to him about it. To his credit, he did end up apologizing to us but it really affected our experience there. We had wonderful food, drink & service but all we could talk about on the way home was the disrespectful treatment we experienced. Thus, we are not sure we are...
